That's why I would recommend to go up at least 20km before releasing the stick or toggle. And my vertical thrusters are analog, but I still don't dare to land using them. Because you'd need to stay very concentrated for the whole landing procedure, no? Just one slip of that finger and you're dead, especially when close to the surface?
Or maybe I just don't trust my input device - a Logitech X56 HOTAS. I use one of the ministicks for vertical and lateral thrust. They aren't overly precise and trustworthy I'd say.
Maybe I'll try to fool around a little with them when I get the chance.
Edit: Uhm, Klepto, the silence is a bit worrying. You didn't die on us down there, now did you?
