Patch Notes Update 2.2.02 Update

Could we get any elaboration around "- Fix low level network hang", this wouldn't be the one where [...]

Being a software developer myself, I can translate this for you. It means: "While debugging some problem we stumbled about this bug in the networking code and fixed it. It didn't fix the problem we were debugging, but we are sure it's gotta fix something." ;)

Why are missions now paying so little? Is this a joke? What happened? Also I been crashing constantly in Haz res zones when I have a fighter deployed. This game was very stable before what happened FD?

Thanks FDev!
Great bug fixes as always.
Still no Commodity and material Storage at least for Engineer required stuff.
No game play at this end.

Still no fix for this:

Constant graphics crashes on approach to planets. That makes the game still unplayable for me.

I'm afraid that looks like the crash you get when you have a stock-overclocked nvidia card. I have a water-cooled EVGA 980 GTX HydroCopper (schmancy name) that they default overclocked by a couple hundred Mhz. I'm running the EVGA PrecisionX utility to UNDER-clock my GPU by 200Mhz and the memory by 150Mhz, which puts the card back into the normal range for the vanilla 980 GTX. I used to get crashes all the time like you, but no longer. It's rock solid.

This game crushes shaders like nobody's business. It *will* make your card's core crash if you leave your GPU as stock overclocked.

Thanks FD, for the fixes. I saw that a couple of issues which I ran into have been fixed. Yea!

That's odd. I haven't seen a problem with my MSI GTX 980Ti, which runs ED fine when overclocked. I guess I'm lucky and have a solid card.

You might try reducing some of the in-game shader/planetary-related graphics settings, to see if you can avoid the crash.

OK, time to sell my passenger modules I guess. It was nice while it lasted. Not worthwhile anymore (although I agree there were some missions that were paying too much before now it's nerfed to sillyness)

And my ship has developed parkinson's disease in super cruise they wouldn't have liked the shaking anyway.

Please don't take this as complaining, I'm not. Thanks for the update :)

I got the shudders as well and it's a bit nauseating. Dropped the settings to Mid and I'm still in the 40-50 fps range (Dual 980s, 5760*1080 Res)
Up until today aside from planetary landings I was well over 60fps and smooth as butter. Hopefully it's a quick fix.

I didn't mind the station kills. Made the risk v reward payoff worth it. It did cost an Exploraconda and a Beluga so 6-10 mil each. Two trips pays for it though. They're already looking at the long range mission payout bug so don't sell all your modules just yet - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/308000-Balancing-Mission-Rewards?p=4779162#post4779162

I see the magic npc don't have to wait for the same FSD cooldown when we are interdicted by them! I thought this was fixed? Now I jump away into SC only to be followed almost immediately by the same npc who says the same thing "The rumour was right... good job I found you first."

When are the npc going to follow the same physical limits we people have to follow?

This game is turning into an absolute joke, deck my ship out for passenger missions and you guys nerf it and make it completely useless now. Not to mention I am stuck in the middle of nowhere due to the COL 70 changes. You seem to think everyone are fat nerds who have nothing better to do but sink their entire lives into this game... Think its time to jump to another franchise.

Great post aokman, (not). The game is not called 'Elite Passenger Missions', so investigate other aspects of the game? I have done maybe 6 passengers missions since they came out in 2.2, but still manage to make over a million credits every hour, and that's not even grinding. Make ED Money fast is not what this game is about.

Maybe you are best deleting this game from your HD, if you are so tunnel vision that you can't enjoy what else this game has.

Ok but now, 8 million Cr for passengers to ... Sagittarius. 8 MILLION, for 50KLy travel !! Dear Frontier, I love your game, but recently, since 2.2, I endure terribles lags in approach of landables planets and stations despite my I7 4790K and R9 295x2. And the nerf of missions is exaggerated, most of delivery or passengers missions are now useless. I hope a fix fort these aspects of the game... (and sorry for my english :D )

I'll be so glad when we get all these min-maxers culled from the game. If you think i'm bieng harsh i surgest you re-read the post i'm quoting.

That issue is unrelated to the 2.2.02 patch. That is something completely seperate!

CMDR Nick Sticks now keeps zipped versions of every new update/patch at the site below......just for people like us :).

Man this community is awesome; thanks so much guys - took me 2 weeks to get back on after 2.2 (maybe just one but felt like 2).

After trying the 2.2.02 game "balances" between missions and passengers for myself last night, I have sold my passenger cabins and all but 1 cargo hold to do engineer grinding until they come up with something that is practical.

yeah same. 600k for 1345ly trip is a little bit low(example)

What I miss is a patch for the interdiction bug. We loose merits and powerplay every day and every week.

What I also miss is a fix for instances. Sigh.

About the lowered passenger missions payment: I will resell my passenger ship and let it lie. It makes no sense it is just hoping around like a trader or explorer, I see no difference in game play. Long distance missions are great but there is no financial advantage. It is just uninspired monotone high wake grind.

Elite could be a great sophisticated tactical and strategic space combat simulation but it gets more and more a game for autistic grinders and virtual achievement collectors with too much spare time. Unfortunately.

Shar I don't think it's fair to say these min-maxers need to come out of the game. I ranked one of my factions up to Allied status and in turn they were giving me lucrative passenger jobs. I think that's fair enuff cos I earned that privilege. If this was some kind of exploit then yeah u'd have a point but this was a legitimate part of the game that was helping me build up...I don't have the spare hours that others have to gain credits so the passenger jobs were good.

I just hope they see sense and fix this passenger mess. It doesn't have to be as high as it was before, maybe 50% or something. Right now it looks like they've dropped about 80% or 90% which is well out of order IMO.

*falls to knees* thank the devs i no longer have to spend three hours bouncing from civil war to civil war to fine one with conflict zones

Core i7-3820QM (quad core 2.7 Ghz), 16 Gb RAM, 2x Nvidia GeForce 675m (SLI)

It's definitely powerful enough to run the game. I get about 60 FPS playing the normal 64-bit ED client. However, if I try to play the Horizons client the video drivers will crash every time I get near a planet that can be landed on.
I am French, I use a translator

Yes indeed.
Reinstall driver and directx, but I think you have already done it.
Formatting brutal but effective in general lol.

The SLI may be problematic with directx 11, Maybe verified there..
my skills stops there.
