2.2 is a Disappontment for PYTHON Commanders

All described as carrying VIPs. Asp 2 sole purpose was to carry top navy officials and have ZERO cargo capacity.

Would be interesting. For the Asp the only viewports seem to be for the pilot and co-pilot, pretty much the same for the FDL and Vette. Any passengers would be looking at the 4 walls.

BTW is this description in game? Never really bothered to read too much of the text.

Previous games had the Asp 2, a top secret long range military courier and spy ship.

The Asp Explorer is a civilian export model, like the Hummer h2 vs US Army HMMV. Asp 2 is sadly not in Elite Dangerous. Loved that ship.

Who really got the short end is Clipper pilots. Can't dock at outposts, laughable weak shields, tiny fuel tank, no SLF. I think my favorite ship needs some attention from FD.

I really think the Clipper should be a medium pad ship - even if they have to physically shrink it down some.

Check out the sides of the FDL for windows and the top of the nose for a skylight. The Corvette has windows on the sides of the nose and a windowed corridor at the bottom of the nose before the cargo hatch.

I'm at Jaques (in my Python), where they don't sell either SLF's or passenger cabins. I knew SLF's weren't available for the Python - I was disappointed and confused at this - but no passenger cabins either?
You *_could_* argue that the Python is quite capable of defending itself already, so why add SLF's? (but then again... Anaconda)
The Python needs some love.

The mighty Python can do anything pretty well... except launch fighters. That doesn't really diminish the ship's vast utility. Get a Keelback and pretend to be a Python and then be really disappointed. ;)

Or get a Hauler and pretend it's an Adder... Then pretend your pretend Adder is a FdL. :p
Sorry, but suspension of disbelief only goes so far.

I'm happy. I have my Python engineered, with a passenger cabin. I take people around on a 30ly jump range. 2.2 also has fixed the paint wear, so I have a gnarly Python on 4% paint. I bought a Keelback for a fighter bay, A-graded it, chucked in a little bit of engineering so it has range, it's a lot of fun. My Python I can fly with reasonable confidence given its thrusters, my Keelback is a little more dangerous. I like the fact that the Python doesn't have a bay because it has forced me to run a second ship, and that second ship carries a different sort of management. I'll be happy with the ship kits appear.

...and that's why I wish these people crying about literally a couple of things in the game that the Python can't do (VIP passengers and launch a SLF) would SHUT THE HELL UP until they're bright enough to realise that the only way those things would ever change is if they were accompanied by some nerf that would be guaranteed to make the most versatile ship in the game less versatile.

I agree... it is a little thing called "Game Balance" The Python is a beast of a ship.. very good at PVP ... with a Ship Launched Fighter it would be very over powered. Frontier Devs do not just do something just to do it... they do give allot of taught to it! [big grin]

With the exception of luxury cabins, ANY SHIP can equip passenger cabins if it has large enough slots. First class, business class and economy - they can all be fitted into ANY SHIP. I've run passenger missions in a Cobra Mk4. OP simply doesn't have a scooby what he's talking about I'm afraid.

It's a Python. What would I need a small fighter for if I had that ship?

To flippin fly through canyons while you're out exploring in your EXPLORATION PYTHON that you spent flipping WEEKS to outfit/tweek for said exploration... I'm heartbroken, over here.

Pretty sure the Conda and FGunship got an update prior to 2.2 that fitted the proper fighterbay doors to their respective underbellies... They could've done the same for the old girl, even if it meant widening her, a little. :/

The python is not high enough. Its wide enough for sure -but not high enough. It IS a space issue.

It's official, then.. We need a Python Mk II...

That pretty much needs to happen now, Frontier. Lol

Poor old Python CMDRs. Not.

The python already has massive advantages, namely the ability to land in Outposts and big internals and good hardpoints. If you were      ing about a Type 7 not getting a SLF, I would be on board with you.. but not a Python. Crimea River.
