After gallivanting a bit more around the outskirts of the bubble, I happened on a lovely little surprise. It's 500 LY from the bubble so just a bit too far out for my tastes, as tourist destinations go, but still an interesting sight.

The lucky thirteenth!

HIP 95944 is one of those bright blues that is surrounded by protostars and jovians with the odd planet thrown in, tons of moons, explorers know what I mean. In this case it's mostly brown dwarves and a pair of M-types for a total of 11 stellars in the system. There's plenty of debris rings around the place to please ringwraiths... I mean ring-chasers, but the real gem of the system is how against the odds, in this maelstrom of dust and gas, an earth-like formed with perfect atmosphere (well, a little too much oxygen, maybe). And it formed as the last moon of one of the 13th body, a brown dwarf. This lucky little planet has a pretty wild sky:

Really interesting, a huge gas giant extremely close to the star (kinda thinking it's not even technically possible, but cool anyway.) Could be a cool mission with a little bit of risk, as getting close to the planet means a pretty close shave with the star.

Shameless plug of a location I discovered, I know, but its a fantastic, small (and likely recent) nebula formed by a supernova, conveniently situated around 1/3 of the way around the outer rim of the galaxy making it a nice easy way station for any galactic tours around the outer rim...

Not so much for the views although I personally enjoy returning there after a foray into the black, it has pristine metallic mining and being an industrial system there are plenty of opportunities for miners, traders and bounty hunters, it homes a major station hub with an extensive shipyard and some industrial and civilian outposts, it is within a short jump to nearby terraforming and tourism systems, it is controlled by the federation but is on the fringe of the bubble and it is only a very a short jump to imperial systems and even an anarchy system with a pirate base is but a short jump away, there are nearby extraction, refinery systems and high tech systems, I have used it as a a staging point for exploration out towards the veil nebulas and other nearby nebula en route to veil as well as being on the south western end of the bubble it can also be used as a staging point for heading off into the formadaline and has a nice view of barnards loop :)

This was the site of the January 3302 galactic base jumping open final (https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/10-JAN-3302). A 7.5km high mountain featuring a large landing site on top with a variety of blue, red & black-run drop-offs to suite everyone from advanced base jumpers to beginners alike.
