start point : Achenar- Dawes Hub

1. Jellyfish Nebula
2. Monkey Head nebula
3. Crab Nebula
4. Rosette Nebula
5. Seagull Nebula

End point Achenar - Dawes Hub

Arissa's Nubile Orbs - a binary pair of Earth-like worlds, each with oxygen-rich atmospheres and gravity a bouyant 70% of Earth's. 256 LY below the Galactic Plane, nearly directly below the Great Annihalator. System ATHAIP GW-M C23-2801, A2 and A3.

No idea why but this browser / this site won't let me insert screenshots regardless of format - just says 'invalid format'...

This one's not quite as stunning, but at least it's on the edge of the bubble. The screenshot below shows a binary star, but I forgot to screenshot another very close (150Ls) binary star, so you have 4 stars within 200Ls of each other!

System name: ICZ CQ-Y C12

Cool System

Hi,

I recommend this system as a tourist destination.

http://imgur.com/a/BIEOY

It used to hold 2 galactic records for most ringed stars (7) and most rocky planets (69) although the latter record has been beaten I think.
It's still a cool system though and worth a visit!

I submit a truly unique find of mine - a colossus of an icy C ring!

Suggested name of this colossal C ring
Halo of Helios.

Location name

System: PRUA DRYOAE KX-A D1-39.
Body: PRUA DRYOAE KX-A D1-39 C 2 (Class III gas giant).
Location: C Ring.
Brief description: Inner radius 1,699,843 km and outer radius 6,799,373 km.

Your Commander name
CMDR Ninjahat.

The system wouldn't let me upload images no matter what format and size I tried. It says "invalid file".
Follow the link to see all the screenshots of this magnificent monster! :-D

Also, in general tourists should want to fly to places with rare goods; "Take me to Lave, I wish to sample the famous Lavian Brandy!" etc

Apologies if already posted - the thread is already getting too long to check so I assume FD will look for duplicate entries as they compile their database.

HD 148937 3 - landable planet with 9.77G.

Huge planet in a system with multiple stars, giving once-in-a-lifetime views. Definitely one for the adventure tourists. It's only about 1,000 LY outside the bubble, easy to reach and well within range for rescue missions should your pilot prove less than competent, although the high gravity makes it notoriously difficult to scrape whatever paste remains off the surface and pour it into a cargo canister for the return journey. So ask yourself... do you feel lucky?

View on approach for landing:

SRV excursions available for a small surcharge. Bring your own packed lunch.

Commander name is my forum name, although I really think credit should go to the first discoverer.

Reasoning: View of heart and soul nebulae, Earth like in system with 1.02g and 3 atmospheres, perfect for hand gliding :p

Would be perfect if each of the eight moons around the gas giant had a real ship race track (checkpoint gates, building, directions) laid out on it, making it the Heart and soul Grand Prix. If it was a racing based system, it would be worth the long drive out there... Turning up in a big ship with your racer and maybe a passenger contract :)

Look at this little gem within spitting distance of the bubble. It has a view to Horsehead, Orion and of Course Barnard's Loop nebulas.

Mintaka B1 (Any coordinates, but close to the poles would be best for that view over the horizon.)

The screen shot is here: http://imgur.com/mog5OW1 if the above does not work.

Submitted by CMDR Elemental1st

Mintaka B1 orbits its parent black hole at a distance of just under 500 Ls. This world is tidally locked with an orbital period of 26.7 days, and the plane of its orbit causes the Mintaka black hole to occlude part of the Barnard's Loop nebula once every local year. This system is a fantastic opportunity for the novice explorer to see the eerie beauty of our universe's most mysterious objects fairly close to home.

Edit: Apologies to Koen. I didn't see that you had submitted the system an hour ago. Still, it has some fantastic sights.

I am a long-term fan of "Sky at Night", can I suggest "seasonal" long-haul tours in honour of Patrick Moore's introductions to the different areas of the sky? All tours setting off from Sol of course! :)

e.g.

The Circumpolar:
#1 Ursa Major,
#2 Cassieopea,
#3 Draco

Winter Suns
#1 Orion (2100ly+)
etc

These would be long missions akin to exploration, but could be a good framework for lore and roleplaying, if not story.

I love the idea of tourism though! :)
