Patch Notes Update 2.3 Beta, Update 3

Hello -- one of the 'perks' of being in a wing was that mining would give you more chunks than usual.

This seems to have been 'fixed' with 2.3. Was that intentional? In every other way you've encouraged wings with various benefits. If it was unintentional please up the chunks again, thanks~!

As a primary DBX flier, I have to kind of agree with Ozric on this (as much as I would love to just shut up and enjoy it). It's nice to have an extra slot and more jump range, but it's completely unnecessary. You're about to push my DBX to 40+ Ly. I could throw on a Grade 5 FSD super easy since engineers were nerfed to oblivion in requirements. Why? I already had no reason to buy an Asp, now I pretty much have no reason to buy an Anaconda. :S

Ehm, there's tons of reasons to get an Asp or Anaconda in general though. Just because you can think of one role the DBX is very good at is isn't a bad thing. Its actually what balancing is about...
 
Nice long fix list but no fix for the SRV Scanner, which is still kinda broken in terms of showing you ghost images and STILL no fix for the FAS/FDS cockpit assets :(

What does a player/cutsomer/fan/CMDR gotta do to get this issue over and done with already? It's a flea bite compared to all your other more complicated fixes. It's literally on the same level as fixing the bobble head positions on the Courier. Why is FD ignoring the FAS/FDS issue?

Because they have a list of stuff to do, not enough time to do everything, and can only do a limited number of 'flea bite' fixes if they want to focus on serious matters. Just because they fix one simple thing doesn't mean they can fix an infinite number of simple things, its not how it works.
 
Some very interesting balance changes in today's update...Finally, the DBX gets enough internal space to do it's job properly!!!!!

The DBX could be a contender to the aspx and I will certainly put it through it's paces.

While the extra internal is so very awesome and a superb change, the DBX still has the slowest fuel scoop speed in the entire game. I wish Frontier would consider at least upping one 4-slot to a size 5 so that the scoop could at least match the FSD size. Until then, it won't be a contender to the Asp X.

If that's correct then I am more than fine with the slow scoop. In fact, it would be a superlative tradeoff to have the smaller, cheaper DBX jump farther than the Asp but with the downside of a slower fuel scoop rate. I like that scenario a lot.

Yes, thats it. AspX scoops faster, DBE jumps faster. AspX has mroe hardpoint flexibility, DBE has better DPS versus big ships. AspX has better internals, DBE has enough for exploration and gets less bogged down by each additional ton. The AspX is slightly more agile with 4pips in ENG, the DBE is less dependent on pips in ENG. Its a very interesting duo now. For in-bubble stuff the Asp is still a bit better, but also a bit more expensive. For exploration it really depends on what you are after.

But it has been 5 months already. Could they not at least make a comment somewhere in one of the many bug reports or in one of my many tear filled threads :)))? Just a simple, "We know. We'll get to it when we get to it."

I'm perfectly fine with waiting for a fix to a non-game breaking issue (even if it personally irks me to have a downgrade in cockpit visual quality) as long as I know that a fix is coming. The 5 months of no comments is what feels wrong in my opinion.

The general answer is: "We'll pass it along.". But without knowing if this was intended or not by the devs or if it is a bug it doesn't answer the question of, 'Is this on the fix list or no?'

First jump with my new dbx (52 ly :cool: ) and the game crashes during jump and now I've an infinite loading screen when I start the game, in both open and solo. What should I do?

Yeah, espescially since the 'random jump exit' fix in 2.2 you have to travel around the star anyway when going for distance.
 
Am I the only one who cant see if any ships are available to join, but can join anyway?

so if a gunner gets wanted .. what about the ship ? it won't get attacked by the cops ?

I think the ship is wanted but in a 'lawful' role the offender will get booted, taking the wanted status with him. In a 'lawless' role the ship is wanted until the crewmember is kicked, taking the bounty with him or forfeiting all gains.
