Can't believe that my guess that I would only get two species from my list was actually correct - got the African spurred tortoise (number 21) and Kirk's dik-dik (number 45).It was pretty fun choosing my new top 50, all things considered. Only two species of fully aquatic animal in there, both of which are comfortable being kept in open-air pools, lakes and moats. Now I can look forward to only getting 2 of them over the rest of the game's life.

Yeah it’s not something I’m too upset over, I got my dues last year. At least the spurred tortoise is kinda radiated tortoise-adjacent, even if too big, and the dik-dik fills the role of tiny ungulate I wanted with wishes like lesser Malay chevrotain and Reeves’ muntjac.Sorry to here that, at least we got the T devil
Never expected the Golden pheasant ( i mean i wanted it but didn't really expect it) but i thought the coati, musk ox and at the very least the squirrel monkey were sure bets.I got to say I’m most shocked about these guys:
They seemed like such surefire easy animals for Frontier. Yeah maybe the swan rig is a bit too big for ducks, and yeah unfortunately the Peere David’s deer isn’t popular enough, and yeah Frontier hates new world monkeys so the squirrel monkey and tamarin is out.
- American black bear
- Nile crocodile
- Greater rhea
- Grey crowned crane
- American flamingo
- Golden pheasant
But these guys from my list all seemed like such good and easy options.
yeah even 5ish months ago, when it was confirmed will were still getting another pack, I was 99% sure we would at least get a Coati and finally a second New World Monkey (most likely Howler). I could not even fathom that we wouldn't. Simply shocked.Never expected the Golden pheasant ( i mean i wanted it but didn't really expect it) but i thought the coati, musk ox and at the very least the squirrel monkey were sure bets.
How i wish we had at least another pack left

Well I definitely wasn’t wrong on my premonitions from last year. If anything Frontier went even lower on the standards pole than I was guessing. Even South America and monkeys were skipped over lolHonestly now with the final DLC of 2023 known and looking at what people are wanting to see for 2024, I think the writing is kind of on the wall that this is the last year of official support for the PZ. It's clear now that aside from South America and monkeys, most of the gaps in the game’s roster are animal “categories” that are intentionally being left out by the dev team for a possible PZ2. Birds, fully aquatics, and species that fall in a “grey area” exhibit/habitat-wise, etc.
Not necessarily a bad thing, just interesting to make note of/see happening. Nevertheless, when I get the chance I’ll upload my personal wishlist here too!

Got my no. 1 (Yay) but only 3 total, guess we were all blindsided by the barnyard pack. I know it won't happen but I would love if Frontier put out a low effort pack with 30 or so reskin/resize animals so there could be more variety of antelopes/wading birds/primates etc.. I'd even take a honey badger that's just a reskinned wolverine at this point.Only had 6 animals off my list in DLCs last year, none from my top 12. Granted I didn't post until after the tropical pack was announced but still, hope to do better this year.

I was so right everyone doubted me (including me), everyone owes me 5 bucksLooks like we might be in need of a 2025 wishlist
That sounds really good. Take your time and know that we're grateful that you want to do it for next year at allYes, I have limited access to some software I need right now and votes have been limited, but I plan to count the new ones added around the end of October. 2025 will be up in November if that sounds good to everyone.
Wading birds are on the list, so yes.Hello, I want to ask, can I also have a pied avocet on my wishlist?
