We have had problems with Fargod supporting RPers in open before. The OP event was done in PG because we knew a lot were coming anyway, and having CMDRs trashing noob CMDRs in AX ships (and also me occasionally
!) aint great fun on our end tbh.
Basically the events are for hunting Thargoids not attempting to PVP in an AX ship vs a non-AX ship. I am a big advocate of open play (for instance BGS has to be done in open), but sometimes needs must.
Possible event on saturday evening UTC, will get back with info if details firm up
