$80? Wow....

I decided to take the plunge to upgrade my gpu from my geforce gtx 650 1 gb to a geforce 960 2gb ($200) and in order to use the new GPU I had to replace the PSU for another $125.00, total $325.00 plus tax and shipping, almost $400.00. Now they want me to pay $80.00 just to get in on the Early Bird(which is just another way of saying Early Access) for anothr $80.00, when other early access games average about $30.00. I say that $480 (that's not to mention what it would cost to upgrade my CPU) is way too much to pay to play a game where they really don't know what the specs are and are just guessing.

lol they arent making you do anything... if you dont have 80 dollars for the early bird just wait until the end of the year its pretty simple really, the early bird is for people that want to get involved before the game is completed and to that they are paying, what I consider a normal price for a game that isnt on steam sale or something.

wait... i have it! contact the hardware manufacturers and tell them to drop THEIR prices by $80. then you'll get the game for free! i mean, $400 to upgrade their hardware so that it can cope with a modern awesome game?! they should be ashamed of themselves! outrageous!

I disagree with you Jim. I think The devs should lower the price of the game to offset the cost required to play the game. Better yet they should pay us to play their game since we have to pay for a PC that will run it first.

to be fair, since there are a lot of non-English-first-language people here, and it can be difficult to tell what us crusty old veterans are saying, especially when we start with the oblique references to British comedy, i'll clarify: whenever price is discussed, it ends up in circles because value is an opinion, and there are already so many posts with every possible argument in every direction, that the old hands get bored and start getting humorous.

apologies. clearly the price is a concern for many, and not a concern for many. whether it's fair, honorable or equitable is a matter of opinion, and there are many varying opinions herein. and when those discussions get opinionated, the sarcasm starts leaking in. but we mean no offense, we are all on the same side here. we love PC! we love Frontier! we love Angelis! no wait...

sorry about that. it's a dreadful language really. it's not even 'one' language, since the dialects vary so much. i travel a lot, and we have many laughs comparing 'English' from around the world. when i give presentations in the USA, i need a 'bi-lingual' person on standby to translate colloquialisms. and the humor. USA humor and NZ humor are seriously different, and it's easy to offend. so Angelis, you are doing very well!!!

Yam Yam, is a Black Country dialect, from an area of the Midlands from Wolverhampton up through Dudlley, West Brom, Wednesbury and Walsall are all Yam Yam's, Birmingham people are known as Brummies and although they have their own accent, they are not true Yam Yam's Britain is full of different dialects, such as Scousers, Geordies, Yorkies, Cockny's, Janners. Taffy's, Jock's & Paddy's. We are a curious lot really.

Just in case we need the "ZQSD" (the equivalent of the "WASD" in qwerty) to walk in a park or something.
Some games forget that little detail, and we are forced to go only ... backward and on the right, which can be annoying sometimes [big grin]

You can fix that. Just pluck out and swap A+Q and Z+W and change your keyboard type to English (British) in Windows. [big grin]

Believe me, we all (any french gamers) know how to pass from AZERTY to QWERTY (and vice versa), but still ... It's really annoying when you have to make a manipulation to play a game correctly, just because the developers have forgotten this detail. [yesnod]
