LEP Holders WILL get Odyssey .... the situation as I post this seems to be that LEP holders don't have a 40GB+ download

My Launcher is telling me the game needs an Update and then tells me to close the launcher.

No sign of the download via the frontier launcher, I had the small 1.8gb update and now nothing. I've even tried via alt account that bought the update and that also has no option for download/preload.

The Odyssey option will not be available in the launcher until the servers go live - which this article says is between 5 and 6 pm.

Well that's at odds with their twitter account stating you can get a pre-load on any of the platforms including frontier bought versions.

Best advice I have received (from a CM) is to close the launcher and re-open it.
The download should be available for everyone and the option should appear.
I'm still doing the Horizon upgrade so can't check that myself just yet.

Edit: Upgade finished. Re-starting the launcher doesn't give me the Odyssey option as yet.
"Lets get it out early.... What could possibly go wrong?"

Closed and opened the launcher, also tried with my non-Steam launcher, upgraded that one's Horizons install with the 1.8 GB patch, no 40+ GB download there either, no Odyssey option. The Steam launcher gives me an error message about the game requiring an update before I can run it, the only option is to close the launcher.

Are we LEP holders getting the correct launcher for Odyssey since we're getting that message and not the 40+ GB download?

I’m on the FDev launcher, and only had an upgrade option for Horizons. Seems like a smaller download (if there is a size posted, it’s in a teeny font).

LEP here. Just been offered Odyssey to install after a few restarts of the client.

I think it is a case that the Odyssey option will not appear until the server goes live.

Basically, someone's messed up, and it means Stand-Alone Installers can't see the Odyssey option to download, but could it they could see it.

No, just the 1.7 GB (Horizons?) update
