Update: I navigated to the steam install folder and double clicked the launcher. The Install button is now available.

can confirm that steam launcher have install grayed out.
standalone launcher is currently downloading.
Horizon bought at steam. odyssey directly from frontier. If this mean that I need to update elite through launcher I want refund on odyssey and will buy it on steam instead.

It's actually the steam launcher, just launched from outside of steam. I gather once it's installed, things should work normally.
