FineThe Orca is a medium ship in all dimensions. And the Clipper would be, had it kept the iconic retractable nacelles.
Now get FD to allow them to land at Outposts

It is sad that you think that DTEA is only about clicks. He has been a proponent of the game for a long time, and offered many guides and suport resources on his website for new folks and veterans alike. Have you done this work? He is pointing out that the interest is waning, and suggests reasonable things to enhance player population.Thanks.
Well... looks like "let's complain, cause complaining makes the clicks flow and"
1. I cannot say that i'm happy about the thargoid focus, but i'm not against it either - there are people enjoying it (and i personally got more than 20 billions (bonds only, some more from missions) fighting the thargoids post U14)
2. The only new ship i want is the Panther Clipper - or any ship with about 1300-1500 tons cargo to help fill/unload carriers faster.
3. this looks like let's make up some issues up so we can complain and get clicks - they've explained they dropped the spool-up time as much they could before getting into technical issues related to advertising the carrier presence in the galaxy
4. Nah, i think it's fine as it is.
6. Same as 3 - let's make up some issues. There were plenty of new stuff, new srv, new carrier interiors, new ship modules and weapons, new thargoid war mechanics, new thargoid ships, etc.
So the numbers of active players have been increasing? He stepped into the same trap as many content creators before him, believing their own little bubble represents "the community". Surprise: It doesn't.
I didn't say that. I said that content creators vastly overestimate their role and representation. So the numbers of active players have been increasing?
So when he points out that the interest in the game is declining, it is exclusively from his own community - or is he also considering other data sources?I didn't say that. I said that content creators vastly overestimate their role and representation.
Never get a job reading horoscopesIn a cunning move and wicked plot twist, Frontier will drop a bombshell U16 preview later today covering all the bases Youtubers keep crying about, making D2EA eat his words and make him reconsider if one should release such a video on preview day![]()
He is wrong when he claims to represent the community as a whole, and that the community as a whole doesn't care for the war (which he reads from his own poll in a very sketchy way) and that the community thinks the Titans were a waste of dev time.So when he points out that the interest in the game is declining, it is exclusively from his own community - or is he also considering other data sources?
I think it's fair to say that with 100k subs, he speaks with a bit more cred than the average forumite.
probably not. I could make some money at the circus or an exhibiton where I show how I can put my foot in my mouth.Never get a job reading horoscopes![]()
The Titans were probably way easier to make than he thinks they were and might even have been another thing they had mostly designed and maybe even modeled out years ago when they were making the surface sites.and that the community thinks the Titans were a waste of dev time.
yet he says in his video that the Titan is nice and all, but "imagine all the ships that could have been designed for the dev time that went into it" (I am paraphrasing). That is very... let's say not smart on a lot of levels. The Titans were probably way easier to make than he thinks they were and might even have been another thing they had mostly designed and maybe even modeled out years ago when they were making the surface sites.
If you mean the clearance of alerts and thus the prevention of invasions by tissue sampling: Yeah that rubs me the wrong way too. This mechanic opens the flood gates to metagaming and cheesing the war, which is of course what happened - gamers be gamers, and gamers want to win. I am extra miffed that this ended the existence of planetary and stationary AX CZs, which I thought were a brilliant addition and which I enjoyed tremendously.Thargoid war is not bad. But if I had a choice, I would eliminate the "thargoid material farm". This was supposed to be war, not farming...
With this detail, I would like to state that I fully agree with D2EA.
And not only do you have to sacrifice your gameplay but your FPS too since sampling was ruled more effective at lower 30 FPS.Losing gameplay to win the war sucks.
Yes, that's the point I was trying to make.If you mean the clearance of alerts and thus the prevention of invasions by tissue sampling: Yeah that rubs me the wrong way too. I'm not a fan of D2EA but he has access to many more commanders through his streams and his PMF , so you could argue that they have a better feel for the game than the odd player and a couple of mates who play the game ??I didn't say that. I said that content creators vastly overestimate their role and representation.
