A Musical Request from the Audio Team...

Dear Audio Team,

I got a few idea's for sounds that are a must-have to have in the game so we can use them with our triggers. Here are they:

- Spooky sounds (PLEASE ADD A SPOOKY THEME ALREADY)
- Ghost sounds (wooooohoooo)
- Thunderstorm sounds
- Rain sounds
- Howling wind sounds
- Squeecking/cracking sounds
- Chain sounds
- Loud 'scare' sounds like a slamming door or a general 'thud'

- Steam/air sounds like:
- blow-off valve sound
- Smoke cannon sound
- general pneumatic air sounds (these effects are great, like the sounds the coaster brakes make)

- Alarm sounds like
- Buzzers
- Horns (great for coaster launch effects or for like a countdown)

- Spoken sounds / Countdown sounds

Also, I don't know if this kinda goes against the "Planko language" but yeah I would love some of the "sit back and put your arms inside the car" or maybe a Planko Version of these.

(spoken numbers in English, like "five" "four" "three" "two" "one" so we can use these before we launch our coaster

These are a few of my ideas, I might add some later [big grin]

Not all instructions for coasters should be in planco It would be nice to have the same announcement in English, French, German, Etc. So that it would be more like a real theme park where they make announcements in several different languages.

-Different kind of tavern background music (celtic, irish, norse, medieval etc)
-sound strips that enhances an upcoming experience, like you expect something to happen soon. (kinda like the "jaws" soundtrack plays and you know the shark is coming)
-spooky stuff ofcourse
-more battle sounds, more guns firing (muskets, canons), swords clashing, battlecrys and human/animal death noices/crys, catapults firing, walls trembling, arrows swooshing by etc.
-short instrumental snips of different instruments, like saluting trumpets when a king arrives or a short jiggle by a cowboy playing his guitarr
-different old mythology sounds and noises. Like trolls/ogres stomping/walking, trees cracks and falling, hydras screeching. Giants roaring close by and far away like a echo of a roar.

Thunder noises, ghosts, Sally Dark Ride laser gun shooting sound, target hit, waterfall, window noises, pipe organs, creaking wood,

My suggestions.
Various big splash sounds.
Various popping noises...for Glitter and bubbles effects.
Whistle, quirky noises for the fairy tale theme.
Jet aeroplane helicopter sounds.....flying over
Giggling mice!
Dragon wings flapping!
Dockside sounds, crates, barrels being rolled, general noise,
Wind blowing through leaves.
Raining, bubbling , dripping water.
Various deep bass sounds and twangs for Steampunk machinery.
Bar sounds!

Have a great week folks![up]

Isn't it Planco simply because Planco can be a universal language (instead of having to do lots of translations)?

I for one would like to understand what is being said, especially if I build a coaster and want to make a video of it to post on Youtube; or at least have the option of importing custom announcements.

so would you want each coaster to sit in the station waiting an extra 20 seconds to play an audio clip saying "please remain seated and keep your arms and legs in the car at all times" or something like that? I mean obviously having the train wait would decrease profits and lower the number of times the ride can go, so the audio wouldnt be able to directly link to the timing of the cars. However, isn't that why we have the ability to import custom sounds and apply them to triggers? Anybody can add there own audio effects, but only frontier can make planco

It would be nice to have the same announcement in English, French, German, Etc.
seems like an unreasonable amount of work, and which languages would be left out? this thread is for sound EFFECTS not speech

especially if I build a coaster and want to make a video of it to post on Youtube; or at least have the option of importing custom announcements.
you realize that when editing a video for youtube you can easily add in any sound effects or music you want much easier than placing them in game right?

a cave collapsing sound(earthquake),
water dripping sounds(like in a cave)
some Planco sounds like pirates that say like attack in planco (to create epic battle scenes)

what i would also like is something like this:
[video=youtube;mh1_bWY0gI0]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mh1_bWY0gI0[/video]

you can clearly hear all the animals and the epic short music when the waterfall drops
things like that would be awesome!

Jurassic sounds
Haunted sounds, witches cackle etc
Christmas sounds, bells, ho ho ho etc
Wild west sounds, horses, whips
Car racing sounds to accompany the soon to be announced go karts ride
Sickly sweet sound effects, I. E small world after all.
Pirates
Space
Kids crying
Vomit sounds
Flushing toilet
Wildlife
Path triggers to accompany ride triggers
Sizzling sounds for burger and hot dog stalls

??? [confused] The people watching the videos would not undersytand what was said.

So wait, you're asking for Frontier to make coaster announcements in lots of different languages.. I got that part right... right?

Then I said, that Planco is their version of a universal language..

You said you wanted to understand the language of the announcement.

I gave you a link on getting started with learning the language.

You circled around and said that you basically want people watching videos to understand the language as well.

Am I following so far?

Ok, then... can't you already make custom announcements and import them into the game? Why couldn't you make the announcements in whatever language you want?

Thank you for asking us for our opinion.

American submarine-like dive sound (like for starting a coaster) [big grin] By the way, I LOVE the starting sound of flatrides in the game [big grin]
More water ambiance (i.e. Wild Water, Seashore, Waterfall, Bubbles popping, Waves hitting cliffs, Ship Warning Fog Horn Sound) [yesnod]
Underwater sounds (including Underwater/Scuba theme) [big grin]
Planciano Jones Music (a whole Adventure Theme including mascot would be REALLY nice) [big grin]
Tropical sounds (the typical rainforest bird noise i.e. or some relaxing sounds)
Maybe fishing boat/vessel sound (including prop, can also fit in the pirate setting)
Birds (doves) cry for (pirate) harbor areas.
Violin play (like Max Payne 2)
Caribbean Music (Buena Vista Social Club Style)
Sound of a floatplane (like Kawanishi WW2 Japanese Style) --> Would perfectly fit in Adventure setting with such a floatplane prop [big grin][big grin][big grin]
Did I mention Adventure Theme [big grin] (Jungle, Ancient Egypt)

I don't think he knows how to do that because if he were to "make videos for youtube" he would realize how much easier it is to add custom sounds or music to a video (lol) but this is getting very off topic

When I originally mentioned making videos I thought that it would be understood that others would watch them and should understand what is being said. As far as I know you can only import music. If Frontier could clear this up it would be fantastic.
