Same for me. I was in open because in solo eyverything comes raging against you. In open it was crowded of commanders, scouts and interceptors, while I was trying to sort out where to find the vents and the core. And I had permanent bond messages in my HUD. The decal would be nice..

BTW: .. a few weeks ago I saw a „Titan map“, with indications to heat vents, the safe spots etc. I don’t remember if it was here or somewhere on the AXI or Cannon Sites. Does someone remember that too and could provide a
Iink maybe?

IIRC it was said on stream that the decal would be evolving (I'm guessing new versions after each Titan?) or that it would work as a collection - meaning that in order to get the "full version - all 8" you'd have to participate in each Titan meltdown.

I for sure intend to get the full set.

But with the current rules, people who missed the chance to land a shot on the thermal core are forever locked out from getting that full set. And may I remind everyone, this comes after more than one year of working hard Thargoid mechanics. Passenger hauls, Orthrus hunts, black boxes, AXCZ grind, samples, oh God the sample work done by some people, garthering caustic mats and other relic unlocks, interdiction mayhem, double Medusas, literally data scientists here writing their dissertation on the mathematical model behind the war. I HAD TO RUN MARATHONS ON FOOT! when doing settlement missions behind enemy lines.

"Oh yeah you can get a badge of honor for all that work. But you only have a few hours to get it, and half the time the instances are bugged. Bazinga!"

Yeah, if I would have done all that and would have ended up missing out on the bragging rights, I'd be pretty upset.

Yeah, it is so inconsiderate of players actually playing the game when others have to work, sleep, walk the sheep...
Who'd have guessed that many thousands of players would pile in to deal with the weakest Titan so quickly?
Yes, those who didn't have time, for whatever reason, to get into Taranis' territory since Monday are not getting a decal / ship kit / extra Arx - but, like any exclusive in this game (think of the many CG rewards I don't have, how about you?) some players are going to miss getting them...

ETA: Should FD have "God-handed" Taranis to ensure that it couldn't be completed until the weekend was over?

Are the cosmetics out? I can't say I've seen a single pic so was assuming not.

Or are people complaining about not getting ARX (from unbugged instances, obviously)? I seem to have got more than I expected so I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled the process and might finish it later

Yeah, that's kinda the kicker here. There's so much that contributes to the eventual downfall of a Titan. But didn't tickle it's dangly bits in the last 1% of activity? Nothing for you.

It's pretty dumb. Not gonna lose sleep over it, but that doesn't mean it's not dumb.

I don't think anybody didn't foresee people ganking the weakest titan so quickly. But FD announcing that there would be exclusives at the 11th hour is entirely unpredictable, and I think it's pretty reasonable for people to feel short-changed by that.

And for all of the people who have those lives yet still managed to show up and spend several hours trying to get into the maelstrom only to repeatedly find bugged instances, only to have life call them away again before they can ever actually participate? I suppose those people should miss out too, it's totally not F-Dev's fault.

Yeah either the post about the rewards is wrong, or the deployment of ARX is, or I've lost all understanding of maths. I got credited 100 ARX 29 times on friday. I am very sure I didn't attack all eight hearts, but maybe 3? 4? of them, so at most I should have gotten 1600 ARX if was top ten - which I am pretty sure I wasn't. Looks like I got 100 ARX per attack run - 29 attacks on the two last hearts that got destroyed on friday sounds about right for me.

I don't know how many Arx I picked up...
Not many, I'd guess, as I think I only succeeded in getting to the Titan 3 times yesterday as activity was a bit harsh from Thargoids...

I succeded in making an overall loss playing there, but that is the game... 18 million in rebuys for 600k earned....
