Accessibility animation for Frame Shift Drive

Hi, I really love exploring. I really really love the idea of just going out into deep space, charting stuff, and analyzing planets.
However, I get nauseous watching the FSD animation, and that animation of going between stars in hyperspace takes up a good 30% of the game time.
Although I can just look away or tab out of the animation, this is taxing on both my comfort and my computer. Having to turn away for 7-20 seconds every 4-8 minutes is not reasonable, and tabbing out is abrasive to my focus and eyes.

Starting at the time stamp, I would want the animation to be all black. the rotation and moving stars are what make me nauseous, but it could be easier to add a solid black overlay during this scene instead of removing some bits and pieces to still give the feel of traveling through hyperspace.

Used to happen to me a bit with the earlier iterations of the animation

30%? Really, do you just jump in and out or what? Sometimes with systems with a single star yeah I will jump quickly to the next system, but there are times when I have spet many hours in a single system, 30% seems to be a wild exaggeration.

The problem is those animations are loading screens while you connect to and generate the new instance so something will have to be there and having your last screen view being frozen while it all happened would be very disconcerting.

Maybe it is actually. My perspective is because I haven't started doing deep exploration, but have stuck inside of the bubble. I am in fact jumping in and out while going to and from engineers.

Opinion. It's a valid concern which is why this is a suggestion for an accessibility option, something that would be off by default and has to be enabled in the settings.
Simply put, I'd be more comfortable with only seeing my ship and not seeing the space until I finally warp in.
Your screen is probably too big. A smaller one can help avoid spinning in your peripherals which is a big part of what causes that sort of nausea.
Yeah uh, 24" is probably pretty big. A downgrade in hardware to combat motion sickness is very unreasonable though. Is there a way to change my fov in settings without changing my resolution? I'd rather not downsize my screen and compress the pretty visuals everywhere else, when the only motion sickness I'm getting is from the FSD warp

It's just a loading screen so I don't object to it being changed with an option, but I can't see the idea getting enough traction to motivate Frontier. If you think that's bad though I don't know how you'll cope with the SRV.

Something you might try is leaning back during the jump. If it doesn't fill your field of view it should be more tolerable.

I would suggest closing eyes but I tried that once on a few beers, didn't end well!
