Well, if the telescope wasn't tracking then the view would have rotated by 360 * 1/19.7 degrees; since you see no rotation then it's tracking, presumably a view that has significance! I suggest the next step is to identify that star field & the nebula. You should be able to get an idea by comparing the telescope view against the galmap; I had a lot of difficulty doing this when trying to locate asterism stars in my previous searches for the Rift mystery but if you rotate the galmap around until it matches roughly you can then "move" into it to find the nebula & good candidates for the stars. By selecting a star in the galmap & then switching back to normal cockpit view you'll see if it's likely to be correct

Edit: Traikaae aa-a h2 to the left is one of the dark nebs in the picture you took....does match
