Are there only 3 types I've found beta epsilon and gamma so far just srv'ing around?
Not to be a pain, but please read the First Page before asking lots of questions. A lot of the answers you are looking for can be found there.
The answer to this one: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon.

Thanks, sorry I tried, either I couldn't see for looking or I'm stupid but I did try, that's why I opened with me saying I can't see the info :)

I won't trouble y'all again

There's a bug in the forum to do with showing most recent posts first (plus the fact that there's a hidden post 3 that got deleted early in the creation of this thread) which means that the post with all the info about alien wrecks, ruins, etc is sometimes not visible. Try temporarily changing to view oldest first.

Yes, I think a private wing of 4 should enable more clarity. PM me if you know when you have a plan for something, there might be others there from the gathering on Thursday.

I'm up for one final shot at this location, even though I think we've discovered all we have - one more eyeball on it can't hurt, from there I'd like to do one of the latest CGs maybe.

PM-ed. I'm definitely up for another look at it with a smaller group.

Thanks CMDR for your clear recap from the Formidine Thread ;)

EDIT:

An update:
The key to decipher the code was brute-forced as being the word "EXODUS".
Now we have a Galnet Article that, casually, is hinting it... too late... if I may say ;)

https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/582ee6249657ba76159b7101

The independent audit of defunct technology company MetaDrive Inc. has now reached an end, and other than a few minor items the acquisition of all remaining assets has been completed.

One such item is the Imperial Eagle of the company's late chairman Femi Dakarai, which was owned by MetaDrive. In a strange turn of events, the ship was stolen by former MetaDrive employee Raan Corsen, who disappeared shortly after the audit began.

A number of files relating to Dakarai's affairs are also believed to be missing. A junior member of the audit team reported that a series of so-called 'exodus documents' could not be located. The employee was unceremoniously removed from the audit team shortly afterwards.

A spokesperson for BigSix, the auditor, provided a statement:

"The audit of MetaDrive is now complete, and contrary to previous misleading reports, we have all the documentation we need. It transpires the Eagle spacecraft stolen by Raan Corsen crashed somewhere in the Alioth system while fleeing security forces. The vessel was fully insured, so BigSix is not unduly concerned by its loss."

I have a theory that the downed Eagle just might be found if someone looks for it in the Alioth system. Something about the wording of the Galnet article seems to hint that we might find the documents there if we look for it. It is almost certainly related to the CG...

You're not troubling anyone, so feel free to stay :)
The information is on the FP, under the "Alien Ruins" section. If you can't see that section, then it's like Alec said a bug that messed up the first few posts of the thread.

Just cross posting.

I have no idea why I'm supposed to discuss this!

So on the Formidine etc stuff...

How about the supposed crashed ship in the Alioth system containing some data with will give us a more precise location in FR/C/HG?

I mean there is good reason to believe that the missing MetaDrive ship and what were looking for out here are related.

https://community.elitedangerous.com...57ba76159b7101

Anyone had a mooch round there? Trouble is there are quite a few landables in Alioth.

So again cross posting but this is more relevant here I think :

On the theory that the crashed MetaDrive ship mentioned in yesterdays artilcle may have some useful information about "Exodus" and may help in the Rift etc search : https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/582ee6249657ba76159b7101

Well there is this older MetaDrive article : https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/5809e0a19657ba621a6962ed

and in it :

"According to our intel, Corsen was pursued before crash-landing on a planet in the Alioth system. This was observed by Commander Ashley Wilkinson, a Canonn representative working with the Earth Defence Fleet."

My question is, does CMDR Ashley Wilkinson remember which planet/moon it was?? :)

Or does anyone know which of the thousands of posts here it was that might have some info?

edit: I'm confused, CMDR Raan Corsen is a player? This player group involvement is really starting to muddy the waters :(

Given a player group, would Frontier have put an actual crashed ship with some information in it somewhere in Alioth?

Long story. IIRC, Raan Corsen is (was?) a player-flown NPC, some guy who had been using Salome's name for his commander name without realizing that she herself was a FD or Drew-controlled NPC. I believe Drew co-opted him into the storyline by allowing him to take on the role of Raan Corsen.

Edit: And my completely uninformed guess at the answer to your last question would be yes. Maybe.

I still go with my hypothesis that the Dynasty comms beacons relate to an earlier (Galcop era) exploration project that encountered this alien threat in the first place, however I could be wrong!

Well, there is that whole Duval dynasty thing going on in the Empire. Or was.

AYe just trying to piece it together, there's cross posting, you can read the same in the Canonn thread but Han Zen located this :

Raan Corsen innit.

Someone check out LHS 2088 B1?

Alas I am in the Rift.

Might be worth a mooch tho.

I'm in two minds about it, on one hand it's got player involvement but on the other the Children of Raxxla are a player group and we have a whole CG around that. I mean there's clearly some level of Frontier support here so like Clavain says it's totally possible there's Raan Corsen related stuff out there.

I'm in the Rift also, and have limited playing time at the moment sadly, but concur with bitstorm that it (and maybe Alioth) is worth following up on if you aren't far away. Might be something in the local news of those systems also perhaps?

About Ran this was posted yesterday on discord chan
