If we don't get any counter-examples, we can now assume that every non-standard zone G obelisk gives "Historical 16" when scanned with Casket+Relic.

So everybody who is still on 13, head to the G zone in PG/open, find a non-standard obelisk and scan with Casket+Relic and report results.

Code:
Interesting, I got Historical 16 from the same Casket + Relic combo but it was from the center/circular set of obelisks.

Then we have to change it to:

Every non-standard RED zone obelisk gives "Historical 16" when scanned with Casket+Relic.

Yesterday in the Merope system, I went into a USS with degraded signals. It was full with the biggest wreckage field I have so far encountered, and some rescue ships. They said things like that it was the biggest wreck they had seen as well, that 300 people died and they were surprised no one got to an escape capsule. Further canisters of personal effects and some other stuff I forgot. Pity I seem to have misclicked when I thought I made a screenshot.
Altogether I got the impression of a very big ship torn into many rather small pieces very suddenly, as if by a bigger force than any common pirate.

Nope fairly standard seen them no where near Merope.

Not as far as I can see, but I don't think all messages have been posted into the spreadsheet; however I would expect ant demise message (if it exists) would be in the final tranche rather than the middle tranche

Which message was this?

Their ultimate demise?

Historical 13.

I've just working on a new set of Maps according to the ideas and informations of the last days.

Especially the discovered zones from CMDR Zenith Ddraiglas, see image HERE
and the new "cluster-numbering" for the Obelisk seen HERE

First the overview-map:

And step by step the several clusters, 1st done:

And then i recognized that CMDR Kalearne(?) has postet a set like this (linked on first page).

But i think there is one failure in this set of maps, one "cluster" is missing, i think. In this map set the cluster E had to be two clusters, according to the the zones that CMDR Zenith Ddraiglas has discovered?!
So in my drawn map i put in another cluster, called H.

I don't know if this is important, and so i don't know if it is necessary to go on working with my map set.

What do you think?
Harry -triple-thumbs-up for that one ;)

Respect to You and CMDR Zenith. Cluster H also on my map, but I joined clusters E and B to divide that wall (power network) hexagon.

According to QA-Mitch, he says that it has been tested to be working properly in Solo mode:

It just doesn’t seem to be working in Solo for anyone other than QA-Mitch… :S

Actually that's not what he said. He refused to confirm that it could be completed in Solo but did confirm that it was operating as designed.

This would suggest to me that it is highly likely that it *can't* be completed in solo without multiple commanders activating multiple obelisks, possibly whilst in a wing. (I wonder if it even requires a wing of four scanning simultaneously to get some of the data given the reward level.)

If not said before, I think the new Spreadnaught needs to be able to differentiate between data from Solo and data from Open/PG. For instance, for F4 in Solo I received Biology 7 instead of the stated Historical 15 on the spreadnaught.

EDIT: actually, I just noticed instead of bringing a totem and casket, I had instead brought an urn and relic to F4...

EDIT: disregard again, I think the servers are being very sluggish in updating stuff. Sure enough, by doing some null scans on already completed obelisks I got missing fail messages coming through. I'll try F4 again later, if I can figure out how to reset the obelisk.

Have we tried dropping the correct artifacts by each monolith to keep it engaged. I wondered if this was happening in group mode as players are near multiple monoliths at once.

I would suggest in the interest of keeping the information clean that there is one definitive map and spreadsheet. At the moment it's rather confusing as to what is what.

There is one, but many people keep using CMDR Zenith's map, so I kept also that on the FP.
If I'll decide to put another, I'll swap it.

I can confirm the following things:
-Mission is received automatically upon docking in Meene, Felice Dock
-The Primary key connection to the Obelisk groups is as shown in the current maps
-The Totem and the Relic! are valid/necessary secondary keys.
-Playing in Solo or alone in a PG, the following 13 Messages and only these can be found: History8/10/11/12/14/15, Biology7/9, Language8/12/14, Technology7/10
-If you have the incorrect primary key, you get the failure message.
-If you have the correct primary key, but incorrect secondary, you get no message.
-Both correct keys give you the data message, if not received previously.
-Both correct keys give you audio about message, but no data message, if data message has been received before.
-By using the primary key connections to groups, unlocking comes down to finding the correct secondary.

I believe, that the above points are true in multiple CMDR instances with the additional effect of somehow activating additional Obelisks and hence messages.

Done for while with this "Puzzle".

I have officially tried every permutation item by item and obelisk by obelisk. Since order is not a factor it takes a lot of round trips scanning each one. I only have 12. Someone said Solo is working as intended, I beg to differ. The only other people who I have seen that have gotten more have went into Open and then back into Solo. I have tried that didnt seem to work. Didnt get any new obelisks or combinations.

I really really would like to know who designs these so called puzzles. Or is this something created on the fly. It just seems that all of these puzzles as of late are broken and we are told they are not. Or are so vague and un approachable that it kills the will to continue.

I understand that these things were built by Aliens. But aliens are not playing this game. Humans dont think that way. One human in a million might and it seems that person is making these puzzles. Its telling a story from the end to the beginning literally with no frame of reference or context.

I know which groups go with each ancient object. I confirmed my theory because Zenith had come up with the same answer. I rescanned all objects with the different obelisk groups in mind. I got nothing for it.

All obelisks react the same regardless if you get a good guardian scan or not. There is no way to predict what obelisk wants what. I have dropped all ancient objects close to an obelisk and tried every single permutation including order in cargo hold. I got no indication that I had a good or bad combo. Sound did not change lights continued the same. Nothing happened.

So its either broken everyone but open or its a completely random Dupe designed to be yet another grind.

With the layout of the ruins changing in 2.2.0.3 I've gone back and located the items that can be picked up.

If you find any errors or omissions then please let me know and I'll update the image/location.

Cheers
