Alpha Update 0.1.3

I am not on about the next update in May, I am on about the 0.1.4 patch we received earlier today, which was a bug fix for something.

That was an update for the Launchpad. The game hasn't been updated or patched. The game version is still 0.1.3.17576

edit: oops--Evolution already mentioned that

Dude did you even read my post? I said, "The patch we just got was for the launch pad not the game itself." As what it fixed in the launch pad I have no idea.

From another thread regarding the Launchpad update today.

Just a bunch of bug fixes really (session info, debugging for alpha, entitlements, etc). We don't plan to include launchpad patch update notes. [up]

While I can not speak for Brett C, I believe he is saying we will get a patch/update when the company feels they need to do so.
I believe they know what bugs and issues need to be addressed and will do so when they feel it is stable enough during internal tests.

We, and I'm sure Frontier knows what issues to address. So no, I don't think he is saying we don't need any patches, just we will get one when the time is right. [up]

Hi,

I disagree.

Regular updates is the only key to success the Hype Train along alpha/Beta period.

Others games understand that like Prison architect (1 update presented by videos every months).

Maintain the pressure ! [up]

I think what Brett really meant is that Frontier decide when it is good time to release update. They can't just release latest build by random, it may be full of bugs and they have to make it ready for user audience and not for inhouse use (without buggy parts, very unfinished stuff, special access keys/buttons/interface, output etc etc etc)

They have released a few updated to fix the worst bugs so we can play the game. They have to have time to implement and finish new parts. It takes time to develop. It is not done in a whim. (I know, I have made stuff)

But with that said I fully understand about the impatient thing. I am soo impatient too. I can be that even if I know the reason why they can't release daily updates. It is the nature of this. whole... goodness... we love Planet Coaster and want to see more!! [heart]

I need bug fixes xD sometimes when i try to rotate smth i don't have the last position.

There are many keys to success, and hype is what you make of it or what you believe it will be for you. These are relative things.

I know some people are impatient. Myself I'm very patient, so it may be the opposite of what some others are.

Fact is that Frontier is doing an amazing job working hard for us to give us (and themselves) a fantastic game!

Whether it may be a fantastic game depends on your own likes.

Remember that Planet Coaster is in Alpha, and there were no statements made about weekly updates or something like that.

While being patient can be difficult, know that Frontier is working on the game, and will do so to give us the best possible experience. They will release updates as they seem fit, and no sooner than that.

I hope we will get a fantastic game at the final release. [happy]

I can understand people are impatient to get more.

Frontier always played with open cards. Around 6 to 8 weeks for each phase.
Looking at the calendar shows we are just 4 weeks running Alpha 1.

Did not work in the past and never will. When they are ready they will give us new toys to play.

I completely agree that they are doing an amazing job with the game.

Not so much with the community!

Ever since the 22nd they have gone off the grid!

We had to find out the date of Alpha 2 from a Tweet. We haven't had a bug update in over 3 weeks.

And when we do get a dev in here his message is pretty much "Wait!"

This isnt what i expected from Frontier after their great hype before hand.

Them being quiet is a good sign for me actually, because they concentrate on important things i guess.

I don't want to hear from them soon, soon, soon, on the list, soon, soon
