AMD RX 6000 series driver issues & workarounds

Hey all, I have an annoying problem.

I'm running a rx 6800 xt and I get these odd lighting effects, like someone is turning a light on and off very fast, it's on some carrier parts and inside stations while taking off and docking. It's not 100% consistent.

I didn't see these on my old gtx 1080 so I imagine it's a driver issue. But I can't find much on it, except people being cross. Is there nothing to be done to resolve it?
Are AMD cards still having issues? Dang, sorry, CMDR.

Hi,

I get that light flickering, too, with an RX 7900XTX. It started with this Trailblazers update. It happens inconsistently, like you say. It happens also during approach to a ground port. In the docking bay of a ground port, it's the bare rock wall that is flickering. My Radeon software version is Adrenalin 24.12.1.

I think it's actually the shadows that are flickering after more googling mine is better by turning the directional shadows as low as possible. Seems this is a known bug in the engine and hasn't be resolved entirely over years... :(

The current shadow issues (flickering, inconsistent occlusion, missing frustums, etc), which have been corrected and then reintroduced several patches ago, happen even on my NVIDIA and Intel parts. The only reliable solution is to disable directional shadows...which has obvious downsides.
