Again this isn't an educational game. The people who think these Dinosaurs are real will always think that way. They won't ever learn a thing about real Dinosaurs cause they have no interest in them or they are lazy. Like someone else posted, the fact that Dinosaurs had feathers is still up for debate and not every single Dinosaur had feathers.
This is a game based on movies that are science fiction based on books that are also science fiction.
That is what I don't get. The op sounds like everyone is an idiot for not caring about feathers, but we honesty have no idea what they looked like and of they did or didn't have them. The ones that did they aren't sure how much was covered. Heck they don't even know 100% how the plates on a Stegosaurus were positioned so maybe they shouldn't have that in the game since it is not accurate according to ops logic
No ... Unfortunatly we will never have any kind of feathers in this game, people here and the devs just don't want them because this scared them, they are scared that a day new dinosaurs with feathers will completly replace the olds ones of their childhood, and this is why we will never had any feathers on this game, or even a good dinosaur game with accurate and feathered dinosaurs ... doesn't matter if some people like me want it, there will always a big majority who will be totally against that ...

What part of feathers not being part of JP lore do you not understand? Even if they would put feathers on certain Dinosaurs in the game I wouldn't care as long it was optional. I just wouldn't have feathers on my JP Dinosaurs. You act like the idea that some Dinosaurs had feathers is 100% fact, which it isn't. It's still being debated. Not every Dinosaur had feathers. A few of them had feathers. Science changes far too much for people in entertainment media to keep up with.
It's exactly what I said, you don't want just to see them in the game, even if the lore here can't be against feathers, you just want to try to find any excuse for don't see your nightmare happened
and even if all dinosaurs don't had feathers, we already know that all Coelurosaurian theropods (and maybe more theropods family) had feathers, and we find feathers on some ornithischians (Heterodontosaurids, ornithopods and ceratopsians) so why this can't be, even just a mutation, even if this not scientificaly accurate ... but it's no use to talk with scared people, they will obligatory find an excuse about everything I talked so, I already cancel my pre-order anyway, this game is already not a dino game
It isn't that anyone is scared to see feathered dinos. It is a JURASSIC PARK game. The based the designs of off JURASSIC PARK dinosaurs which do not have feathers. We want to see the dinosaurs that we have come to know and love from the franchise. If you want your version of what you think dinosaurs look liked you can play prehistoric kingdom ( I say your version since we have no real idea what any of them really looked like). We know you aren't happy with this game as you continually need to act like you are better than everyone. Why not just give it up since you are obviously not happy with this game. Either that or you are trolling.
to me they are dinosaurs and they sooner wouldn't be dinosaurs to me when they had feathers all of a sudden.
I know interpretation is very difficult with written conversations, so it's always good to think a bit about how and what we write. But in my opinion you seem a little short sighted, because you keep telling pepole that they are scared and that some people are finding excuses. It's like you're just having a go at people, because while you share your opinion here you can't seem to accept other people's opinions. it's just I don't understand why everyone hate feathers like that, even if in the movie lore this is completly forbidden (I follow the movies so I know where is the problem), why just you deprive people of something while even if this will be in option in the game you can do what you want without use feathers on your dinos ?...
They are basing it off the JP lore where NO dinosaurs had feathers. I have no idea why you don't get that. This isn't a scientifically accurate game. It is a Jurassic Park game. Why waste resources and time for something not in the game.
I highly doubt anyone on this forum of dinosaur and Jurassic Park fans hate feathers.
They, or at least me, hate the idea that you would cancel your purchase and by association cut your support for the devs and this game because it lacks feathered dinosaurs, despite the fact that it was never a part of the franchise to begin with.
In the movie lore, it's "forbidden" for the sake of consistency. And even then, it isn't. JP3 had raptors with quills on its head. It appears Indoraptor has them as well.
In fact, now that I think about it, a lot of Indoraptor's appearance seems based off of the male Velociraptor of JP3, and it is confirmed to be a male....hm.
Point is, I don't care if JWE dinosaurs have the option to have feathers. I care that you're so concerned about them having feathers to the point where you won't get the game if they don't.
it's just my choise, even if I'm a great fan of Jurassic Park Operation Genesis, I was a modder for it, I even create a small documentary 5 years ago with this game, but today things change, and feathers are the criterion for me for buy a dino game or no
I'm still not sure why you keep on posting here if you aren't going to buy the game.
We all know your point of view by now and it's obvious you don't like it but why keep posting here is beyond me.
Not me. I hate the idea of feathered Dinosaurs and I think it makes them look more like big chickens with teeth. But what I think doesn't effect science. I am aware of the fact that some Dinosaurs had feathers. But PyroTheRaptor seems to be the type of person who wants to put feathers on every Dinosaur he knows about cause a few feathers were found on some of them and some were found in amber. You heard him, even some Ceratopsians had feathers. He basically wants to turn them into giant feather covered prehistoric buffalos. He also says he doesn't care if it's scientifically accurate. He is one of the people in the feathered dinosaur cult it seems. All Dinosaurs had feathers to these types of people. They find feathers on one small Dinosaur and they all had feathers to them.
He doesn't seem to understand or refuses to understand that there are no feathered Dinosaurs in JP lore except the male Velociraptors and the Indoraptor in JWFK. Even then it was just quills as others have said. The fact that Dinosaurs had feathers is still being debated as I said in a post above. He doesn't care. They found 1 or 2 feathered Dinosaurs some where now they all need feathers.
Probably cause Prehistoric Kingdom doesn't have a Forum or Saurian doesn't have it's own forum.
I guess to you fact equals excuse. If any one here seems to not be accepting of something it's you. You won't accept the fact that JP Dinosaurs had no feathers. It's not part of the franchises lore. Also you seemed to refuse to accept that fact that feathered Dinosaurs are still being debated.
Like I said before, I wouldn't care as long as they were optional. I just wouldn't have feathered JP Dinosaurs in my parks. It wouldn't look right to me.
You say you cancelled your pre-order and won't buy the game or play it. That's on you, it's a decision you have made. Millions of others will not make that decision. Especially once JWFK comes out. This game is going to be pretty huge. If you can't handle it then I guess you can go wait for Prehistoric Kingdom or play Saurian. I believe they have a feathered Raptor/Deinonychus you can play as and they also have it climbing trees and gliding. Cause someone came up with a theory that they would climb and sit in trees and might have used their arm feathers to glide. Yes, this all came from a theory and they put it in the game.

ps. I wouldn't buy the game if all the dinosaurs came with feathers and I could not turn it off. I would absolutely hate that! Glad this won't be the case
I was going to give Saurian a try till I watched a video where they had a Deinonychus or Raptor climbing up a tree like a squirrel and gliding around using a little bit of feathers on it's arms. It's like the people who thought that up don't know anything about how flight works. Large eagles have large wingspans. The more weight there is the larger the wings have to be to carry it. Yes even for gliding.
