Base Game North America - American Bison

First section of the base game is north america since its a nice short one. First up we head to yellowstone national park and take a look at some huge beasts - the american bison. Funnily enough im taking more time taking the pictures than i am making the habitat 🤣

Base Game North America - Pronghorn Antelope

Among the expansive grasslands of north america is the speedy pronghorn antelope. Hard to capture in the grassland biome i think i did well enough to represent the drier climate of the pronghorn compared to the bison. Of course snow doesnt leave the grasslands dry in winter - watch the pronghorns white fur shine in the snow. I know this is lower quality minus the first pic, grasslands with tall grass gives a really harsh light to capture animals well

Base Game North America - Timber Wolf

Now i know the timber wolf has a huge range but for the ease of ordering animals i listed the wolf in north america. Heres a themed version for the season with some nice autumn colors. It is themed off the forests of northern usa , likely minnesota and michigan. The new twilight pack has some fantastic resources to create autumn scenes

Absolutely love those. Can't wait to use the Leaves myself

Base Game South America - Galapagos Tortoise

Alright heres a really big section of animals of 2 yes 2 animals 🤣. Heading offshore south america is the galapagos islands that features the giant tortoise. A tropical forest setting was used since a large portion of their natural habitat is the interior of the islands not on the beaches - dont worry the aldabra tortoise will get beach pictures

Base Game South America - Baird's Tapir

The addition of the bairds tapir completes the south american section of the base game animals. A nice little south american forest for the tapirs, a few tries and found the perfect combination of assorted green tropical plants. Ansel did struggle processing the harsh light during the day - i might find a workaround by the south american dlc for this.

I think the second one is the best👍

Base Game Asia - Indian Peafowl

Thanks to @dinosaurchestra for sending these pictures in

Starting the first of 2 major base game sections. The asian section sees quite a diverse range of animals so lets dig in! First up is the iconic indian peafowl in a drier setting than one would imagine what a zoo might show off - Dinosaurchestra said the inspiration came from the Ranthambore National Park in India

Really nice. I wish they could actually sleep in Trees in the Game. This might allow for even more awesome Pictures

Base Game Asia - Bactrian Camel

Creating a twin biome setting for pics on one map was quite the effort. 32,000 pieces of drinn grass on the grassland map to create a nice enough looking steppe region along with having the usual drier grassland setting for the camels here. Again i copy-pasted the grass to achieve that shear number - yes i was lagging with that if anyone wants to know 🤣

The Lagg was definitely worth it though. Also love the Night Picture👍

Base Game Asia - Indian Elephant

Looking at many of the wild elephant pictures show quite the presence of humans in the natural habitat so i went with a minimalist version of mud tracks through a lush forest. Pretty hard to capture herd pictures since elephants have no mechanics for such, even the bactrian camel followed each other. Picture 2 turned out just a bit too bright i think, but the last picture really captures the whole divided habitat feeling
