Animals that we might NEVER get.

honestly I kind of still wants them. Addax still have a chance as ZT has them. Pere David’s deer long shot but to a chinese dude, this is something important to us.
I maybe should have said this sooner but the purpose of this thread is to speculate what might not make it, not what you as an individual or us as a community would hate to happen.
Now you could say something akin to "a dairy cow won't make it because of lack of community interest" or "x won't happen because we already have too many ys". But I would try to avoid statements like "I'd hate it if this happened" or "I hope we don't get this"
I know I did not previously state the type of response I would have expected, but this is basically the type of response I appreciate. And while I still do think that the addax has a slim chance of making it it is not impossible unnlike most of the species I brought up in this thread.
Honestly, it would be funnier if we ended up getting neither the addax nor the oryx as a second desert antelope and instead lose the spot to a dama gazelle.
2 out of 7 to be honest - it’s still pretty low for me and especially taking the popularity of horses with the wider audience.
And still not even one donkey species

See, interestingly, I think there are definitely some big name species that are missing cos of close proximity to species already in the game BUT the fact they just added in the Blue Wilderbeast does give me some hope that front.
Ones that come to mind for me as famous but "knife edge" possibilities like that would include:
Dromedary Camel
Black Rhino
American Black Bear
Emperor Penguin
Nile Crocodile
Alpaca
I also feel it's unlikely we will get any additional subspecies level choice (eg. another tiger, brown bear, lion, wolf, leopard, giraffe etc) at this point except maybe as a gift, just because I feel it would be perceived as palming us off with "clones".
Regarding primates, my suspicion is that the issue is that they are more time consuming to rig and animate compared to most terrestrial animals. I want to think we will at least get a tamarin/marmoset, a howler and/or a spider monkey before DLC stops, but given that primates are the most under-represented group by far vs their zoo presence, I'm not banking on that gap getting filled. A baboon might be a bit of an exception as they are terrestrial.

It would be nice to get another zebra or one of the wild donkeys, but it's very unlikely.
I could see african wild ass/onager/kiang showing up still - almost every pack gives us some ungulates of some sort and I can think we are fairly saturated on antelope at this point.
If there is a desert, mountain or India pack, all of which imo would be solid choices right now, they would be a solid pick for any of them!
Are we though? The addax and eland are still highly requested, we have no asian antelopes, and we still lack several major groups like Nilgai, Dikdik, duikers and a few others are still missing.
I think that PZ builds up partly on the fact that many players grew up playing Zoo Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon 2 (not the Xbox one).
So, I wouldn't be surprised if they added a bunch of species from those past 2 games into it, as a sort of easter egg, reference, y'all know?

Now, I don't believe we'll get ALL of these, but I think many of these will be quite popular and will be a part of the game. Most notably, I feel like all the base game animals will be a part of it (maybe not the emperor penguin), and the 2 downloadable animals, as well.

See, everything is subjective. Because I don't feel saturated with antelopes at all. I still absolutely want at least the addax, nilgai and eland.
I mean thought relatively speaking, we have 11 species of antelope in the game already, which is I believe the single largest cateogory representation in the game?
I mean, don't get me wrong, I for one am happy to go to bat for the saiga or dik-dik for instance, but beyond that assuming we have say, a max of 2 ungulates per pack, I feel that there are way more pressing gaps in stuff like pigs, the musk ox, goats and even deer?
cat soul(Piaya cayana) - you probably didn't even know this animal exists.
snakes that aren't very popular - frontier didn't add a single snake since launch, and i doubt they will add a new one, but, if they add one, will be a more popular species, likely a black mamba or king snake.
red legged seriema - Frontier don't like birds by some reason (or don't like make new rings for them) so i doubt we will se seriemas instead of rheas.
Gelada and olive baboon - Hamadryas is more popular then both, also primates suffer from the same problem as birds.
shoebill - a bird only know for "winning" the context of ugliest and scariest bird that have a heavy competition to enter in the game, yeah, we will definitely see it in the game.
crested gibbon - we already have a gibbon, and if we are going to receive a second one will definitively be a Lar gibbon.
Black lion Tamarin - there's no reason to add this tamarin over any of the others tamarins (mainly the golden)
jaguarundi - again, no reason to add this over a ocelot or other SA cat.
aardwolf and brown hyena - the chances of a third hyena being added is extremely low by now.
emperor penguin and Javan rhino - different animals, same reason: there's already similar animals that's do the same as they would do (king penguin for Emperor, and Indian rhino for Javan)
Marine (and some other species of) otter - low popularity and lack of reason to be added are the main reasons.
others SA caiman (except black caiman) - given how spectacled caiman was receive by the community i would be surprise if we receive another one.
ya know, never is a very powerful word, but in this case i heavily doubt any of those animals will enter the game, to add a little bit i avoided put unpopular animals (with cat soul being a exception) plus full aquatic animals and extinct, because everyone know they will never be added.
