just for clarification the acronym is going to be AGCGSI units? sounds like a sneeze.
That might actually be entertaining for the target, which is what these chain interdictors want to avoid at all costs.
Those all long range weapons?
Took a little longer before Engineers, but since the speed differential was lower, it was still possible:

This whole situation is farcical. The number of ways people can avoid others in this 'epic multiplayer' game is ridiculous especially when we consider how simple it is to escape and the infinite gameplay area.
The continuing whining over the years is nothing short of pathetic, particularly since its mostly coming from grown men.
I remember a while back we started ambushing fuel rats for the lulz.. Truly amusing moments but the backlash went beyond all expectations.. [haha]
Walt what? So you believe having griefers fail to kill your chain interdictor police ship will make the killers more happy than ignorable kamikaze Sidewinders? Common man, you know they are simply there to PVP and chalk up kills right? A sidewinder to them is a fun little snack. But a slippery target that reduces their kill tally to zero/hr is enough to break all but the most determined pirate/ganker.
And btw, you are wrong. I have been so successful with my (survival) chain interdiction technique, that PVPers have actually changed hats and joined me in policing because "if you can't beat em join em". Though most just get frustrated after an hour of being check mated and try to find a new instance.
And last night I scored my first PvP bounty hunting kill at a CG. I've come close so many times, but since it's usually me vs 3-7 pirates, the most I can usually do is knock out the shields and dent their hull on one ship before waking out to reset the cycle. And this time I did it saving a long time friend from a ganker duo, despite the fact that game netcode wouldn't let us Wing! And I had to use detective work to lighting quick ID their low wake and drop while he was hanging on with 30% hull. That little 18k bounty was the most meaningful CG turn in of my career.

Inversely... This video suggests to me that the Mosquitos, and this kind of activity has stuck a nerve in the "griefing" community.
As I said on page one, this chain interdiction idea is literally a text book example of "griefing" as Fdev defines it. Ironic, eh Willi, given your comments about how the "griefing community" perceives this topic?
Just a couple thoughts to add to this thread:

Secondly, the (further) irony here is that if Fdev implements some half baked c&p karma system to go along with their ridiculous Blocking feature, the griefers in this scenario will be under the protection of the legal system because they're in mismatched ships compared to those who they're chain interdicting.
Look on the bright side you can combine both those issues into a single solution by blocking the chain interdictors.
What makes it different from players interdicting other players for other reasons (and having to repeatedly interdict players that escape)?

Setting aside that I know of no examples where this is endorsed on the forum, even if it was two wrongs still wouldn't make a right, Robert. Might be something worth considering, especially given your status.

Piracy, bounty hunting?
.... and protecting other ships, in a system, by tying up potential attackers, would seem to be a form of blockade - and there are those that like to blockade systems already....
Truly pathetic, especially since its mostly coming from grown men.
"Potential attackers." That's pretty funny. Well, put me on that list I guess. Getting a chance to find some of you guys actually out in the open in Open suits me just fine.

Unless they're PvP'ers?Thats a matter of opinion. Just because some people choose to play a certain way doesnt mean they are better than any one else.
Unless they're PvP'ers?![]()
Really?Unlike others around here I've never maligned others for how they play the game.
