Any thoughts on future DLCs?

I personally wouldn't mind a pack (or two) more from each continent (I was underwhelmed with the amount of animals offered in the south america and australia packs so 5 more animals isn't asking too much) Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa, and Oceania (I know a lot of people mention Antarctica...but I have no interest personally, there are seals and penguins in other regions of the world I'd rather see (and that are more commonly kept in zoos). But regional areas like Madagascar, New Zealand, Indonesia, or India could have interesting packs

I think aviaries and birds are absolutely essential, and would make this game way more realistic (maybe a large pack of birds or several bird packs that we can choose from? ex: parrots, flightless birds, birds of prey, waterfowl pack (finally add geese, swans, ducks, and pelicans to our zoos, maybe even annoying ass seagulls)

I don't want whales or dolphins personally, but seals otters penguins and platypi (platypuses?) would be welcomed in a "semi-aquatic pack" (I would also welcome the idea of aquarium exhibits to keep small marine species in)

I reallyyyyyy want a critically endangered species pack that consists of Critically Endangered species and species that are Extinct in the Wild

More packs based on animal biomes could be cool too (like they did with the Arctic) I'd love to see a Desert biome dlc, or Mountain dlc, or even an Everglades dlc (with alligators, snapping turtles, scarlet ibis and cougars), or even a nocturnal pack could be creative (I'm fiending for some bats!!!!!)

As for prehistoric animals, extinct animals, and mythological creatures I say ...stick to JWE (or hope JWE2 listens to your wishes). And for domestic animals... maybe play farm simulator? Or buy a farm? (Don't forget Buy Local!)

What do people think?

I mentioned this before in another topic:

I think they should address every remaining continent untouched in DLC packs - Europe/North America/Asia/Africa and after that focus on different types of themed DLC: (and don't focus on the continent anymore). Regional areas: not a fan of this,
Biome/conservation status/herbivores/carnivores/size based - don't mind any theme after that. As long as it has variation in content (no 5 subspecies etc.)

Aviaries/birds & marine/aquatic have been mentioned a lot of times (really a lot of times) most people want to see this happening. I think those would benefit most from bigger packs (assuming this will happen too)

Agree with you on prehistoric/mythological/fantasy/extinct from insert era - don't like the idea of this.
I do like the idea of dometic animals/petting zoo but I highly prefer a lot of animals before anything like this should happen. Petting zoos are popular in RL zoos, so it should have a spot in the game at some point.

I think Frontier will stick to regional based packs with 4 or 5 animals for now. I don’t know for how long, but just based on what we are getting now, I think it’s sticking around for a while. And to be honest, I’m totally fine with this current format, only if we got them a little more often, like every 2-3 months. The DLCs I would like to see Frontier make are: Egyptian/Saharan Pack, Europe Pack, Southeast Asia/Indonesian Pack, Madagascar Pack, South Africa Pack, North American Pack, American Deserts Pack, European Pack, and a Eurasian Steppe/Himalayas Pack. These, to me, are the key regions that need some touching up on before moving onto more animal specific packs like you said; Nocturnal Pack, Critically Endangered Pack, Aviary Pack, etc. If they do these animal specific packs, they should definitely include around twice the amount of animals to make up for the scenery pieces that obviously wouldn’t be included in these. Which, that’s another reason why I’m a little on the fence about these packs because there’s no scenery theme involved, and for Frontier it may not be worth it to make. Regardless, I think we should expect to see the next one in the month of October (bc of the unknown dlc on the steam db) and I’m hoping for a North American Pack.

IMO they should have done 'localised' packs from the start instead of trying to cover whole continents and biospheres with only four-five animals. Arctic is fine, but 'South America' is so broad and Australia contains far more than a single DLC can do justice. It's a little late for that now, though. I suppose it's possible that if they return to Africa or Asia they might focus in on more specific areas instead of going broad strokes but I doubt it.

Personally I think we'll be surprised with something more substantial this year (birds or something else game-changing) before they go down a similar route to JWE and give us more basic animal-only packs.
