I played past 1000 hours, really dont feel like asking for a refund haha. If they really (and its a hyperbole) will switch ED to multiplayer only mmoesque game I will simply stop playing at all and wont buy any dlc/cosmetics. But getting a refund... good luck with that lol.
If OP didn't get it - refund really works on unused products - or barely used ones (even by EU law). Not liking direction of development really doesn't cut for it.
Also going salty drama won't make good argument for developers. Form solid opinion and provide feedback in feedback thread. I am personally not supporting Open only idea, but way it is done here is...well, at least it has been fun for forum comedy on Friday night
All things being equal, and all due comedy aside, Frontier Support has been pretty great, and they do seem to stand behind their product in that regard, form what I've seen at least.
I've heard of refunds for Mac users and people who wanted offline only, so credit where credit is due. Things don't always work out the way people (devs included) might hope them to.

Technically a refund is possible on the premise of removing the PP functionality from Solo.
After all if you buy a car you don't want the car manufacturer to come by later and remove the engine or wheels because they didn't like he design and wanted to keep them only for the top end model?

You can now Powerplay in solo. Kind of wrecks you're whole non-premise. Disparaging others for the sake of disparaging others because you don't agree with their opinion doesn't really serve anyone any good, your position least of all.

How is that can be a straw man when he's technically right? In case that all modes should be equal, solo players must be allowed to form wings - at least with NPC's. If they can't use such feature like "wings", then, open/PG players are privileged with such.
Actually, this is a point worthy of exploration. I don't think Powerplay entirely works as it is either. Taking dumps in people's beds without them having a say in the matter is "surprising" apt. Coincidence? Well, let me tell you, it isn't.
I'm just hoping for other solutions than those presented by Frontier presently, as outlined by me previously in this thread.

What if the car manufacturer comes by removes the old air freshener that no-one likes and stopped smelling over a year ago, and replaces it with a new one that has a slightly controversial aroma whilst replacing the seat cover and floor mats for free.

The crux of whole argument from both sides is just here : FD made a mistake by allowing to change galactic power statement from pg/solo. Everyone's who disagreed (at least me and my closest buddies) just ignored the PP. Significant amount of people, who were cool with it and seen this as an advantage in complete safety, got used to it and now people got mad because frontier want to turn the entire design upside down, taking their advantage off them.
