I want to make a fan site showing the game off as well as in-game video, images, audio, text, and other forms of media captured by my own hand with a recruitment page to my squadron. I have checked the T's/C's for info on this and it says I need written permission first. I've emailed frontier and they have not responded so I'm kind of stuck. This site is also for an academic environment and needs to be built before May. Anyone have any guidance on where to submit such a request or if I even need to? The site will be hosted live but will not feature any paid content nor will I claim ownership over any of it. I just don't want to get sued and I absolutely LOVE Elite Dangerous. It checks every proverbial box in my spaceship game checklist.
This is only my second website, so I apologize if this question seems stupid or trivial, but you don't know things till you know them. I'd also like to know if I need to include verbatim disclaimers or if general waiving of ownership would suffice.
