Anyone with an RX 6000 series card able to get Odyssey to run with the 22.5.2 drivers?

Older drivers produces crashes 100% near/on planet surfaces, was just a matter of time especially in settlements.

Now I can drive around on empty planets in the middle of nowhere. I can hear the fans, fps are stable, no stuttering. Currently the new driver works fine for me in OD if there is nothing but planet.

Guardian ruins: I visited ruins in Col 173 Sector FC-L d8-28, no crashes but stuttering at approach, fans go up, landscape a bit blurred, amd cas sharpening, stable 60 in srv, turret use no problem, including scanning an obelisk. Relog worked as well.

Bio/geo: didnt find any, cant tell.

So currently it looks like it works.

Forgot the hardware: 5600x and rx 590
Do you mean with 22.7.1 driver?

You have a 590, so that's why it runs for you. It's an older 500 series card, not a 6000 series one.

It's almost 10% faster in GPU limited scenes, relative to 22.5.1, on my 6800 XT.
I have the 6900xt.
"Deep Rock Galactic" is my quick testbed for full screen. I can't do full screen (the last time I played it, it was in that mode.) Nor can I open the OPTIONS menu. 22.7.1 crashes the game. 22.7.1 is trash, just like 22.5.2.

Elite well, VR isn't recognized despite that I'm looking at my VR home screen, so I couldn't even get that far. I made another three tickets to AMD.

I already downgraded myself (and DDUed) back to 22.5.1.

All the RDNA2 parts should be treating drivers the same way.

Have you tried disabling double precision floats in the terrain generation settings of AppConfig.xml (PermitNativeDoubles="false")?

No that’s news to me but does no good if I can’t get the game to run. Maybe 22.6.2

That worked for me atm. thank you, I don´t know if I´ll get any gliches btw

For the record, this is what I see on planet surfaces during the day, with 22.7.1:

This has done it for me. With PermitNativeDoubles="false" on 22.7.1 I can play normally again with my RX 6700 XT
Under 22.7.1, and with that switch turned off, I can now do this...

Love the performance in VR but hate what's happened to the landable planets.

The extend of my problems are just blue tint at day on landable planets.

For me it doesn't look like the planets have already experienced the explosion of the proteus wave like yours do.

Not 22.5.2 (or 22.6.1) related - but after installing 22.7.1 Windows 11 seems to think that my 6800 is incapable of supporting HDR.
