[Application] EDJP and EDJPO

Just a quick note - I've released version 2.5.2

Contains a large number of fixes, and also a simple map maker. Note that this release requires .Net 8.0 (which is linked on download page)

Good day. Problem with EDJP. I can't open the Boxel Explorer window. All libraries are installed. Version 2.5.2. Please help. The Boxel Explorer window seems to open, but it doesn't. http://joxi.ru/2XYp8zEsZMKRnA
Close EDJP (so it definitely closes Boxel Explorer window too), then reopen it, hold SHIFT on keyboard then click Boxel Explorer button. The window tries to position itself in the last location it was open but for various reasons (usually changing monitor setup), it can be stuck off screen. Holding Shift when you click tells EDJP not to restore it's position.

Thank you very much. Everything worked. Your programs are very helpful to researchers. I would really like ED to develop in this direction.

I might be doing something completely wrong, but when doing a boxel survey neither the "Increment boxel" button nor the keyboard shortcut have any effect. I have to start a new survey and choose "use next boxel" to get it to the next boxel.
Is it my error or is it a bug?

It's working OK for me in 2.5.4 (release) and 2.5.7 (beta). I assume you set to 1 (or more) layers deep? Maybe try starting a new boxel survey in one of the top level systems, ensure the correct number of layers deep is set and tick the "Ignore systems I've already visited" box and then see if incrementing boxel works?

I'm currently in "BF-A f" starting a survey with "1 layer deep" makes the button work, but that increments it to "CK-A e".
Might it be that there's currently no way to simply increment it to the next f boxel? Starting a Survey of a g boxel would only take me to a small subset of f boxels using that method.

Ahh. Yeh, if you're trying to do the entire f-mass boxels in a survey there's no easy way at the moment to do it. I think the older "next boxel" functionality possibly stopped working when the layers were added. I had planned to expand survey options so you could choose a set of boxels from Boxel Explorer and have those all in a survey but haven't found time to get to it.

For now, you could start a survey in "AA-A h" and set to 2 layers deep. Skip the first 2 boxels (h and g), and it'll give you 8xf. After that it'll give you a g which you'd skip and you'll get 8 more f - repeat, and you'll eventually get all 64xf boxels.

I'll try and look at the old increment boxel functionality to ensure it works as expected. Might make it an explicit option when starting a survey or something.

Thanks for looking at it.
If you grab the latest beta (the link underneath the button on download page), this should hopefully work as expected now. It also has a more compact Boxel Explorer window to fit 720p that someone asked for.

Crap :D lol that's what I came here to figure out, after poking around various sites and videos

Aiming my carrier for a spot along the edge and was gonna use this to try and find every possible star, although I did notice using the explorer, my first idea for a target didn't even seem to have an AA-A h anything after pasting to galmap. It also isn't picking up my target for the survey mode, presumably I'd have to get out there first?

It seems like both a simple yet complicated program & overall system to understand. I just want to make mass exploring 'simple' :D LMAO

Major KUDOS ofc :)

EDIT... Imadummy. This is one of those "system has several different names" deals. Nevermind. Go about your day. Nothing to see here... LOL

Okay... I give... Why isn't the Boxel survey picking up on my current system?

As you can see, I have "Use Current System" selected and yet it seems to be married to my last survey I did thousands of LY away... Nothing I can do seems to make a
difference in getting it to get it to cooperate. This is.... annoying... Any ideas on how to make this act right?

I've had 3-4 similar reports. At least 2 of them are running Windows 11 and report the problem started after the last update - can you open up a command prompt and type ver, and let me know what version is reported back please?

Unfortunately, I don't have a W11 machine to be able to test this and am completely unable to reproduce it so troubleshooting has proved problematic.

@Evoflash and @Armail , I've had a report from someone else affected by this that they installed a Windows update today (KB5060842) which has fixed EDJP. Can you please try installing any Windows updates you might have and see if that fixes the issue?
