Patch Notes Update April Update - Patch Notes

You literally said "from the ganked person's perspective, which i have been a couple of times, it really makes no difference if you can boost or not".

Omitting that "if you don't build your ship" completely changes the context. Of course if someone is flying a poor build they're going to go boom from even the weakest gank regardless of engineering experimentals thrown at them.

However, from the perspective of a wing-ganked competent pilot in a decent medium ship, boost can be the difference between rebuy and "see ya later, gankabois!"

Lol "unwarranted attack", "toxic player". Somehow I don't think you're well qualified to comment on the ramifications of subtle PvP oriented engineering changes. It takes a bit more nuanced view and different sort of experience for this.

hence i wrote "from the ganked person's perspective" and not "from the perspective of an experienced and well prepared PVP player". English is hard

Experienced well prepared players get ganked all the time.

If by "English is hard" you're passive aggressively implying I should have deduced your full meaning... I suggest you instead simply say what you mean, not assume folks will infer things that don't follow from what you do say.

If there's a genuine language barrier I apologize.

I meant the experimental effect on torpedos.
It's on dumbfire missiles, which are even harder to hit than PAs because they don't inherit ship speed. Nothing with lock-on can reset your FSD. Just fly erratically and you won't get hit. If this drag munitions buff comes to pass, though, that whole "flying erratically" thing becomes way easier said than done.Without boost your vector will remain really smooth and gankers should have no issue lining up the shot.

Do you actually mean FSD reset Dumbfires / Grom PP weapon?

The most common effect on torpedos is the reverberating cascade, which attacks shield generator directly. That does not sound like "mass lock" to me.

I do believe there is a special effect for torpedoes called Mass Lock Munitions. Never used it myself but I'm pretty sure it shuts the FSD down for longer? Inara is down for it's nightly cycle otherwise I'd check there to confirm.

Also, hi! Glad to see you around here again.

Turns out you're right. Slows FSD charge. Learned something new.

However, given how much more effective reverb cascade is, I doubt this is ever used, and figure the poster meant grom / fsd reset since they're so common.

Hi! Always good to see you Phisto but I hope my return here is brief. Life is better without this place, especially if one can otherwise stay in touch with those rational members. Our "tribes" as you call them :)

Yeah, but it doesn’t affect high wakes which is why it’s almost useless for a gank.
