Patch Notes Update April Update - Patch Notes

Chatting with a Horizons owner that hasn't logged in for two years:
Me: "New patch, shiney trade fixes, come on, give it go..."
Them: "Nope, [redacted]!"
This was before I noticed the brand new bugs that didn't exist before...
And now I'm kinda glad they didn't log in and see them too. Awesome.

Every single game forum these days, esp. when new patch is released. Totally not related only to ED. Moaning, moaning and more moaning.

Seriously, those comm. managers need to have a stomach to digest all the crap and maliciousness they see and read on "social" networks, forums and such.

Is it me or did the cobra 3 just become even more reliable?

I kept seeing people in them yesterday. An awesome ship just got even better!

I didn't say none, but none that I have tested so far have. I will be logging in tonight to test a few more things, to write up issues for them (if the issue tracker is back up) and then I won't be logging in again.
I'm interested in:
  • Crazy-long POI scans
  • Missing planet statistics in FSS
  • Error messages and asteroid belt discoveries covering important data in FSS
  • "Sticky" / slow FSS reticle movement
  • Unmapped planets showing as fully mapped in DSS probe launcher screen
  • Broken Codex
I might be forgetting a thing or two. All this stuff was well-documented in bug reports shortly after 3.3 released months ago.

On, off, low, medium, the FX graphics setting changes did nothing for me. I do have an older (2 year) build and know it needs upgrades, but every FX change for me left the FPS pegged at 60.

Must suck being a PC gamer. I'm getting updates to my other PS4 games all the time, and none of those games break like ED does. (No, I don't play Anthem.)

2 diferent things, ps4 is one system all work the same, pc u got all diferent configurations, systems, hardware so alot to go wrong.

Nope, it's actually very great to be a PC gamer. PS4 = cheap, entry device into gaming. What do you play then? Butterfly Simulator? I know of many games which break after updates, and ai wouldn't say ED does. If you are trying to imply that a few bugs and slight performance drop "break" a game, I don't know what to say. Now go clean your Sidewinder.

That's the pro of a PC - you build it as you want it. Also, there is very little compatibility problems, better performance, controls, and a shipload of other great things.

Yeah, no. After 10,000+ hours I'm getting sick and tired of sticking up for these guys. I gifted someone a copy in the weekend sale and I just had to tell them not to bother because the patch is so disappointing I'd prefer they didn't ruin it for themselves before they get a chance to like it. Major screw up this time...

You'll have to be more specific, it's a mess in there, but probably nope.

You don't need to tell me I wrote 17 of the bug reports for the Codex and Exploration ;)

Give them time to sort out the bugs that appeared from this update, some are old and should had been fixed and arent, so something failed there, the rest its the normal stuff we see in all games when a patch is released that needs to shutdown servers for it, it takes some time until all is running normally.

In this game i went against my rule for many years to never play a game that had a update for the first couple of days since that is when the problems arise.
