Are Interdictions way too easy to Escape now?

Never been fond of the interdiction mechanism at any point in time. Not enough feedback provided as to what is actually working or why.

NPC interdictions are easy, but still waste just enough time that submitting and running, or fighting, is often just as fast.

CMDR interdictions are harder, and often one cannot submit successfully if one starts to lose, so there is virtually never a good reason to fight the interdiction. Outcome is too unpredictable and the penalty for trying and failing is far higher than for not trying at all.
 
It only depends on your ship maneuverability. When I was flying my Type 6, I had lost every third interdiction. Now I am flying an Asp Explorer, and I've never lost a single one. Also, I was never interdicted by a player, but I guess it's harder to escape it.

Nope interdictions are feeling just right now vs AI. With larger ships and enhanced agility it's doable at times depending on what is chasing you. This has been the best balance on interdictions since release and the desync bug that always used to hamper the mini-game seems to have been finally eliminated (touch wood) I still have to submit more times then not flying a larger ship but this is the best I've seen Interdictions since alpha.
 
Once upon a time I would`ve been shocked to see people getting so polarized by this simple question, even to the point of anethema by the way they write... Today I`m not.

Well been flying my cargo ship and I`m still not losing any interdictions at all... Maybe those of us not having a problem are so damn brilliant that we should apply for Mensa over the inferior people here? Yea, that`s it we who escape every interdiction must just be better.

Anything to say about that?
 
It's easy to avoid interdictions now, but at the same time it was pretty rough before. Felt like I had to break my flight stick when constantly doing abrupt turns in opposite directions.

At least now I don't have to worry about breaking the damn flight stick.

Interdictions should be easy / hard based on mass factors.

Smaller ships should have an easier time getting away, but at same time have a harder time stopping larger ships.
 
I've always disliked the mini-game, so I never bother with it. It just wastes my time and isn't fun. I see no advantage to playing it, so I just submit and either boost/wake away, or kill the pirate.

Yeah me too, though i dont usualy kill them unless they are my combat rank or above.
 
I haven't read all 4 pages, but could we just give this a rest. First people complain about interdictions being too difficult. Now there's this that they're too easy. Geez. FD just can't win. No matter what they do, people complain. Just give it a rest and play the danged game.:rolleyes:
