Regardless, popular streamers--the one's typically seen at first glance on twitch--aren't popular because they are typical, they are popular because they are novelties.
This is generally true of most things. Celebrities are generally so famous because they are a-typical to the average person. Folks tend to like watching folks who are fairly different from them, but share some similar trait (like a love for games) which makes them more entertaining than watching yourself play.
There are no real women on the internets.. Only men pretending to be women to get special treatment
Yes, sworn at, called sluts, body shamed, propositioned, that special treatment that only women get!
I don't remember any special treatments. If anything I get called out in various parts of the internet. I don't understand why anyone would want that

Y'kmow, I've been playing online games for damn near 4 decades now. 99.9% of my characters in games from Meridian 59 to the present have been female, as playing Barbie Dress-Up generally sucks with malecharacters plus I'm one of those who would rather stare at a female butt for hours at a time than a male one. I can tell you that I can quite literally count the number of times anyone has harassed me in any way on one hand with fingers left over.
While I have no doubt some women get harassed, I highly doubt those such as yourself and others who seem to paint it as an everyday occurrence. As I stated earlier in regards to "toxicity", those who seem to be so convinced that women ( or trans/gay'whatever ) can't possibly play online games without being constantly harassed are those who go out of their way to make sure they will get harassed to make their own "point". They're the "look at me" player. Such as the person earlier who declared the thread to be filled with "veiled transphobia", who goes out of their way by putting Trans in their username. People see what they want to see, and if they don't see it, they will create it themselves.
I've never once seen anyone ask for an all straight male group/guild/clan in a game, but I've seen countless "looking to join female only" or "LGBTQ only". And most of the "harassment" ends up coming from that player when others ask simple questions such as "why not just ask to join a guild/clan/whatever instead of bringing your sex/race/orientation into the game?".
Believe it or not, the majority of us are in games to play games, not to pound on a virtual political soapbox or treat it like a pixel Tinder.

(updated it to include my sunnies and crop some uniform out but apparantly while the new avater drops in immediately it may take up to 12-24 hours to update when you replace it...strange)

Thanks Susie! I would describe myself as a competent amateur. I traded my way from a sidewinder to an Anaconda following a guide before the mining boom, taking a break in the middle to do the old "road to riches" in my Asp Explorer. I've currently got a fully engineered Anaconda and Courier but I'm looking to expand that and save for Fleet Carriers, after being away for a few years. I don't suppose there's any chance you're on Xbox?

I have done a fair bit of engineers but not guardian tech, I'd be interested in pursuing that further at some point. I just heard it was a massive grind or required relogging and neither sounded super fun. Those guardian shield reinforcements do sound sweet though, and those SLFs look nice...Sounds like you have a fair footing on the game!
You didn't mention engineers or guardian tech? Both transform the game enormously and are well worth the effort.
I guess you are currently mining in Borrann A2 while the going is good until the FC patch rolls out?
And yeah, I was grinding Borann but am now only mining when the price is 1.6-1.7m, I've got other stuff I'm trying to work on instead like Fed rank (want a Corvette eventually) or flying my iCourier more (God I love that thing)

While most people relog to farm mats, personally I don't as I think it's game breaking..as long as you're not particularly in a hurry you can get what you want ok. But then this is Elite!! You should be kinda already used to a bit if grind to get stuff, it's more fun to just enjoy doing what you do along the way and collecting the stuff as you go.
I like engineering ships, currently have well over 100 engineered ships and none of that was done with relogging. Lemme tell you though, you are gonna LOVE your courier and many other ships once they're engineered.. oh boy!!
Sorry just re-read that you HAVE done engineering but not guardian stuff..soz! Tbh the guardian stuff is cool!! It's awesome story stuff and intrigue tied in with mat gathering
