It was me that wasted you sir, Super Pen rails to the plant was thy cause of death.

It wasn't you. You're not on my list! ;)

In truth it happened fast and I didn't react well under pressure and in the confusion. I know he was hitting me with powerful weapons. Plasma accelerators I think they were.

Have to admit its bugging me!

Next time, push on and try to dock. As soon as you lose your shields, activate silent running. With hope, your ganker will be using gimbals and he'll have nothing to lock onto. Also, deploy a heatsink for good measure/if possible.

Didnt realise silent running prevents weapon lock. Wish I'd have known of that at the time.

Thanks for that, I just found him in the list. if I see him again then at least I wont be going down without a fight. Don't feel like using solo mode as I'm not gonna get pushed put of open play by some ...

Thsts the spirit. Blocking him why? He wasnt cheating or breaking any rules. Blocking has no place in an MMO but that's a different discussion.

Elite is not an MMO.

Why? Because he simply never wants to see him again? Blocking isn't exclusively for getting rid of toxic players.

I say just play Solo. Save yourself from unnecessary future grief.

Welcome to Elite.

Elite is kind of like prison - you're not part of the "in crowd" until you've dropped the soap at least once.

I squat to pick up the soap. It's better for your back.

It's my understanding that blocking him only turns off the comms to the cmdr you block.
You can and will see him again.
I think...

Blocking him will also make the game avoid putting you in an instance with him. You may see him again if certain circumstances come up (like him being in an instance with a friend) but it won'd be as common.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Talking about who we've all put on 'ignore' is off topic and such posts will be removed (as I've done). Keep on topic please.

If another player makes an unprovoked attack on you entering a starport and you fire back, will the authority forces attack you too?

In this instance I didn't fire back and avoided entering the port but was destroyed before I could low wake. Cost me 10 million rebuy less the "discount" of 2 million plus my mission cargo of occupied escape pods.

Really unbelievable that any player would do that and there seems no remedy. I guess I should have fought back and risked notoriety.

No doubt he had you pegged as a smuggler of illegal immigrants; you can hide almost anything in those "escape pods."

I hate to be the one to have to tell you this, but there's more than one way to skin a cat if you know what I'm saying;)

It's my understanding that blocking them reduces the likelyhood you will spawned in the same instance. Things like who was there first, following your wingmates into a system, etc throw the math off a bit, so it's not a sure thing.
