Attacked by another player entering a starport

Can you quote even a single example of a "Mobian" "raging"?

Salome event, various other attemps at doxing, SDC massacare in Mobius reactions, dont feel like looking for quotes but they are abundant in reddit and in this forum. People rage in RL about events in a video game.

You are toxic yourself in the way you communicate with others but that defines alot of Mobians who rage on the forums probably to compensate the fact that they are trash at this game.

If you think PvP is unbalanced (it is only for incompetent pilots, I can survive multi gank attemps in my T7), than you must not see that farmable NPCs dont add too much to the balance either. Also, engineers 3.0 were dumbed down to the casual plebs so there is no more excuses.

Do you have any inkling how well you are proving my point?

Sweeping declaration of all Mobians as trash ragers, claims that PvP issues only exist for 'incompetent' pilots, full denial of Engineer problems as 'dumbed down for plebs', acting as though it's PvE player's fault that SDC pulls TOS-breaking and narrative-breaking troll moves - you are precisely the kind of toxic individual I'm referring to!

YOU are the reason Mobius exists. You are the reason I have no urge whatsoever to touch open, even assuming all the wing/multicrew problems were fixed, even assuming all the balance issues got resolved. I have absolutely no patience to suffer the presence of people like you. p.s. If you didn't catch the hint at the end here, you are now on ignore! Congratulations, you got what you surely wanted.

@V'larr, I'm not talking about "subjective ability" or ranking, but stone cold objective skill, and no, they aren't gained in solo or group. To reach true proficiency in combat and general flying you need to pit yourself against humanity opponents, and for that there are no substitute's.

I guess the answer is "no" then.

But see, that is quite subjective - it's your own personal estimation of what does and does not qualify someone as a skilled pilot. Your estimation, my estimation, Frenotx's estimation, Truesilver's estimation, all of it is going to vary and be different.

I have played many a PvP & PvE game, and frankly speaking I've learned one ultimate lesson. Putting on pretentious airs about having PvP skill is nothing more than hot air. Game mode doesn't matter, personal effort does, and that's all there is it to it - 'casuals' and 'unicums' abound in the same proportions no matter where you go. (And before I get the "well you must be the 45% potato kind of player, no, far from it: I'm the 1.5+ kdr/55%+ win rate kind of tryhard in a competitive PvP environment. I actually purposefully avoid these kinds of games because it gets to me too much, so take this as from someone who's learned this the hard way.)

If you enjoy PvP and testing your skills against other players, great! But that doesn't put you on a pedestal above someone who honed their ability to fight in a spaceship against hordes of AI-controlled targets. They have every chance to learn the same exact maneuvers and loadout techniques that you do.

There's lots of random speculation happening in the comments above, some of it appears inaccurate.

One of three things most likely happened here:

1. You had an out of jurisdiction bounty that matched the local jurisdiction's superpower affiliation, you got kill warrant scanned, and were fair game
2. You had report crimes off, and you were fair game
3. You were in an anarchy jurisdiction, and you were fair game

In any case, you were fair game. Stop looking for sympathy and do something about it.

(Oh yeah... 4. Your attacker was outside the NFZ)

I guess you just rage quit. Typical Mobian.

The OP described the situation right in the first post, you should know full well it was the 4th.

More like, "To reach true proficiency in combat and general flying engineering expensive ships...."

Heh, that too...*especially* that when it's so destabilizing to combat balance....

AI controlled targets are nothing but a farmable entities.
Fighting against a skilled PvP player is like fighting against 10 NPCs simultaneously.

If you avoid PVP you avoid the only challenge this game throws at you, anything else is a walk in the park in comparison.

OP does nothing of the sort...

If another player makes an unprovoked attack on you entering a starport and you fire back, will the authority forces attack you too?

In this instance I didn't fire back and avoided entering the port but was destroyed before I could low wake. Cost me 10 million rebuy less the "discount" of 2 million plus my mission cargo of occupied escape pods.

Really unbelievable that any player would do that and there seems no remedy. I guess I should have fought back and risked notoriety.

As someone who has and will happily waste you outside of a station for your 100Cr out of system bounty, I'd say it was most likely the first. I'm going with this order of probablity... 1,3,2,4

Nah, V’larr. Mobius is a joke. Y’all can’t hang so you make up your own rules to massage your fragile self esteem.

But hey. Ain’t no skin off my back. Too busy having the time of my life with Elite. ;)

I don't mind giving Harry his due. If he says it was him, it was, he is unlikely to have made that mistake. You were killed by THE most famous player killer in the game. I'd say grats, tbh. :)

Lunch, join the PVPers!
Message Jason Barron, best pvp trainers in the game IMO

Yea this is false.
You can be the greatest vs NPC's to ever live.
Your 1st fight against another player would be embarrassing.
Big difference.
Sorry.
