Autumn DLC Speculation

I was more excited for the updates in the past as well. The last ones were just meh to me though, to be honest.
My favourite updates were the ones with reduced deep diving requirement and the more detailed options in sandbox. Now, those were game changers, really! With the last two I can't even remember what their foucs was... ❤️

Oh, yeah, the chorous thing... Yeah, that was nice. Lions smelling at flowers is still weird to me and I almost never play with guests, so all the guest options weren't particularly for me.
Yeah, i sorta agree. The chorus i quite like, it makes the game more immersive. And i almost always turn guests off when i build my zoos.

Game changing, eh? Malayan tapir remodel😆... Actually, that would be game changing for many of the players here, honestly.

A few others would be special stations where guests can interact with animals, notably a feeding station and maybe a petting station?

That's all I can think of right now
like in zoo tycoon xbox but with guests instead of keepers? Interesting!

Funny, the last two updates I quite enjoyed. I always like changes to the animals with new behaviours. I really liked burrows, chorus behaviour and bathing behaviour (although I wish it would be applied to more animals. The guest interactive kiosks were also awesome for me, since guests are always an important aspect of zoos, I cant imagine playing without them.
So I cant really say the last two updates were weak for me. For example any new additional sandbox options do nothing for me, completely useless as I dont play that mode, so its really a personal style of play I guess. Its good the updates focus on different things, so each to their own. :)

The updates adding the shop stands were a godsend for builders like me. I can't stand using the giant shop boxes when wanting a make a real looking cafe/gift shop. Animal behaviours were alright I guess but never pay that much attention to the smaller animals as my larger African habitats are just way more interesting to watch - I can't fault burrows though as I do frequently use those.

Let's hope for null paths, exhibit reworks, and so much more brachiation options in the future

All this talk about keeper gates has me wanting for one that's somewhere between the size of the original and the new one. From a scaling perspective, a mid-sized gate would be fantastic. The new one just feels way too short (though I Imagine the intent is that it's just easy to hide rather than to look like a reasonable height for a human. Hah.

Game changing for me would be manual temperature control, a choice of biome textures and more versatile map backgrounds.

I know I go on about this but for me it would be absolutely transformational.

I love these ideas! The biome textures and 'versatile map backgrounds' in particular. Giving us a city backdrop in any biome/map would be phenomenal (and maybe another 3-4 options of each biome/map type to pick from and allow us to add our own backdrop images).

So bringing up another speculation, what are the chances of being a revival of regional pack?
Like Oceania Animal Pack

My take:
Short beaked echidna
Emu
Northern Hairy nosed Wombat
Northern Kiwi
Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo or Matschie's Tree Kangaroo
Tasmanian Devil
Little Penguin
Ex) Frilled Lizard or Lord Howe Island stick insect or Tuatara

In general I'd not want to go back to regional packs, especially animal packs, but Oceania is the exception. It's what I want most after flying birds actually.

I like your pack lineup too, it's very similar to my own. The only one not on mine is the echidna, but it's actually in the "wild card" spot I have been putting other animals in, so I'm totally fine with it. Thought about the Grey Kangaroo, a Wallaby species, Numbat, Quokka...so forth. As long as the other animals were in the pack I wouldn't much care what was in that spot.

@Colehunter35 - Game changing updates? This is probably a hot take but I don't foresee any updates that are really going to be game changing. Flight and fully marine mechanics would certainly add diversity to the roster, but ultimately I feel like the actual way you play the game would be the same. Exhibit system overhaul, flexicolor additions and gift shops would be fantastic updates, but I wouldn't call them game changing. The only thing I can think that would really be game changing is having a first person zoo keeper/mechanic/vet mode, in which you take over that particular staff member and interact with the animals or whatever, but I really don't think that's going to happen.

Woah, y'all, look how big this thread is. It rivals the "What did you do in Planet Zoo today" thread:

EDIT: No way, it BEAT it. That thread is at page 207. This one is at 221

I would really like a relatively neutral low lying horizon map for each biome or even just one map if you had choice of biome textures. At the moment it is impossible to make a realistic Dutch zoo or a zoo set in Finland for example (both things I want to do) because you will have rolling hills or towering mountains in the background.

I'm SO EXCITED for tomorrow! The stream is 6pm for me so perfect timing because I come home from work at around 5:15pm. I'll make some tea, get a cozy blanket which my two cats will happily take as their resting spot, and enjoy with you all there in the chat. 😺

It's going to be so much fun! I feel like a little child waiting for Christmas or something haha!

Question: when will it be on Eastern time? And will it be on their YouTube channel (if they have one)?

Scenario editor would be game changing for me particularly if it included all the features from Planet Coaster

An update to animal diseases to make that aspect of animal management more involved and more challenging is high on my list.

A way of making spaces very dark for nocturnal houses

Birds (not so much for the flight but more for the feel and soundscape of the zoo)
