This has crossed my mind a lot over the weekend and makes sense even though it’s unexpected. I think that the music collection is effectively the update, which would mean that we’ve already had the “update” announcement and the livestream on Wednesday will potentially reveal the DLC.Can't figure out if that music collection will be there instead of the usual bigger features of the free update. If that is the case then I think we might see the DLC revealed before the update again, as we saw it with the Conservation Pack. Can't really be sure about anything anymore.
I saw some in icelands and I would ove so much to see puffin in the game if we ever will get a aviary pack! but yea it need behavior to seat on rocksThat's always such a tricky one for me, because realistically puffins absolutely require an aviary to be contained, but in game-terms I feel like I'd be willing to overlook it considering how the majority of their behaviour would be spent swimming and sitting on rocks...
It's a bit like ibises. Like, yeah, they are waders, but modern standards require an aviary because wing-clipping isn't seen as good practice anymore, so you could get away with making them "ground birds" (in the same way as flamingos or peafowl) but really they should be part of an aviary system.
I'd feel a lot better about both if we had a dedicated mesh building set.
Would love Asiatic Lions in game and to see what Frontier would do with them, considering how much models have improved since game release.Sooooo need this. They are so distinct.
I very much doubt that the remixed tracks of an already existing music is our update 1.11. Rather I think it is its own thing and a passion project of some of the developers. This has crossed my mind a lot over the weekend and makes sense even though it’s unexpected. Hell yes, Asiatic Lion would be an amazing addition for game, they’re endangered and few left in the wild so it’s great to add them in game to educate people about it. African lion is getting old ingame now, so I’d rather to get another lion species unless if they finally redesign African lion, it’s very unlikely that they would redesign old animals tbh
My thinking is that it could lead to a better made lion. And the Asiatic subpopulation does have some distinctive physical features too.I already had it here in the Thread and I make now again a bit of taxonomically stuff. The Asiatic Lion is just a subpopulation (noz even a subspecies like the different brown bears) of the already in-game lion. Both Asiatic lion and westafrican Lion belong to the same lion subspecies, the Northern Lion. Thats why I hope we will not see the Asiatic lion in a future DLC, because for me this is an important aspect. But this is a Personal opinion and of course everyone can wish the asiatic lion If he wants to.
Yep, team better lion here. The one we got is noooot acceptable anymore. Looks like a mod in the Frontier roster, when ironically enough mods look betterMy thinking is that it could lead to a better made lion. And the Asiatic subpopulation does have some distinctive physical features too.
yes, the extinct atlas lion, were a subpopulation of these lio sI already had it here in the Thread and I make now again a bit of taxonomically stuff. Technically this can be correct statement. On steamdb summer song stream is listed as patch note and was updated through depots. This has crossed my mind a lot over the weekend and makes sense even though it’s unexpected. That’s really interesting it’s listed in the patch note. Perhaps this could mean that the devs are focusing on a more game changing base game update for December and the summer song stream is giving some space for that whilst also offering us something new.Technically this can be correct statement. Entire soundtrack will be in base game probably as part of free update.
I like to see it in a similar way to the clouded leopards, which pretty much always have a roofed enclosure. I know those are for different reasons, but I can easily see puffins being treated like essentially a sea-faring duck. That's always such a tricky one for me, because realistically puffins absolutely require an aviary to be contained, but in game-terms I feel like I'd be willing to overlook it considering how the majority of their behaviour would be spent swimming and sitting on rocks...

Well, if that was the case, no offense to whoever created the music, but it would be very disappointing. We keep saying that if one update or DLC is a bit light then that means they are working hard for the next one. Well, last 2 updates were already on the light, shallow side, so an update exclusively focused on a new versioned soundtrack would leave me very perplexed and worried. No, it wouldn't justify even a huge update on December with flying mechanics or whatever. That’s really interesting it’s listed in the patch note. It would be if it was a weird, backwards universeEven in an alternative universe, I doubt the Himalayan brown bear would be on a lot of people's radars.
The inner machinations of frontiers mind is certainly an enigma
I love canines, but yeah:
Birbs
More Marsupials
More Rodents/Pig-Swine/Mustelids
More...cowbell?
I do not think this is the case. I think not a small number of players are neither on the Forum, nor on social media platforms. So steam is a good platform to inform these players. That’s really interesting it’s listed in the patch note. They got so much flak over doing that exact same thing for the official soundtrack dlc, I doubt they would ever do something similar againWell, if that was the case, no offense to whoever created the music, but it would be very disappointing. I would maybe take the barbary lion (which is extinct in the wild like the new oryx we got with the last DLC) or the (real) south african/namibian lion (Panthera leo melanochaita)...I already had it here in the Thread and I make now again a bit of taxonomically stuff.
