Correct. Everything is my fault.

Wasn't referring to you; I agree with much of what you've said throughout/the premise of the thread; I was referring to 'others'.

Source aside, it seems fitting.

I just assumed you meant rhetoric in the John J. Sheridan Excellence sense of the word.

At no point do I mention the breaking of skulls ;) I disagree with you, that's it.

And I am sure you won't but lets be honest here: A certain subset of players, not griefers by default mind you, will be antisocial in the extreme but will be in all group so if we assume group dominion is not a thing what about some sort of...well systemic hostility be it natural or coordinated? Areas of space could become exceedingly hostile so how would you solve the issue with such individuals or small groups nonviolently? Again these would not be griefers but more...extremely territorial ( miners with a good claim, smugglers, etc), they have no real malice but for whatever reason they would send you on a express back to your last docking station. Would it not require by default the violent solution?

I don't see a problem here. That sounds like valid gameplay. That's not what this thread is about.

It may be valid gameplay, but you can bet * that anyone aggressively defending a prime mining spot will have people running here and crying about griefers in seconds.

Where they will be told in no uncertain terms that it's all part of the game and that they need to deal with it or move on to another part of the galaxy.

Let em, it's a big galaxy ... I'm sure there'll be other prime mining spots. People have problems like that, just go speak to one of the explorers, I'm sure they'll be more than willing to sell em some hyperspace routes out to somewhere nice and quiet. :)

And this has been an interesting discussion and even changed some of my views and even how I interact with the forum. For the better.

Handshake, agree to disagree and let's all get back to the point at hand.

Attack the argument, not the people.

I think we're going nowhere here.

Closing pending review

Warning: If we find the same people carrying on the same arguments in other threads, actions will be taken. Please take this chance to shake off the angst and let it go.

Hi all, after review of this thread. We've decided that it'll remained closed. The topic has become quite circular and has began to delve into personal attacks more commonly than not (which we've went ahead and removed).

Thanks for understanding.
