I'm no white knight, but seriously - if you think ED is a valid use of your time as is, carry on playing and if you don't, do something else. Lifetime passes are always going to be a gamble, you might win big, you might lose. Like all life decisions, ultimately you'll just have to deal with it.
That's great, deal with it. Certainly I can do that.
"Dealing with it" in the manner you prescribe does not generally result in a amiable outcome. People speak up about these issues because they want to work toward a better possible outcome than what they see coming.
So I am dealing with it, in the manner that I prescribe, which is to push for the best possible outcome for all parties.
I get to play the game for another year. FDev gets to soak up my money for another year. Friends I play with get to spend more social time with me for another year. Nobody loses.
I choose to deal with the possibility of losing all of that by being proactive and voicing my concerns rather than passively twiddling my thumbs and hoping everything works out somehow and it should be OK.
No. That's not how life works. Get off your backside and work for what you want.
