badly stuck, no way out :/

I -had- plenty of J3's when FDev changed the recipe and I have 0 now, which I only discovered when I actually had to use an FSD injection. Luckily a J2 was enough and I still had those.
Funny how they didn't care about explorers out in the black back then (and that particular change could have easily stranded explorers) but are bending over backwards now not to inconvenience explorers with brand new and completely optional gameplay in the next update.

But yeah, I'll also be stocking up again before DWE2 even though I'm not expecting to have to actually use any. If my 32.4LY AspX could get to Beagle Point without Jumponium, I'm sure my ~50Ly KraitII can!

Do you deny my point? Never said which way it matters, but it does. Having a short jump range can help you stay out of such situations to begin with. Super long jump ranges can make it harder to get into such a situation (you have to go further out). It would even be fair to argue that only truly experienced explorers should get into a ship with the longest of jump range.

Either way, my point stands.

Z...

You'd be better off letting it go.

Story update.
Hats off to her also for being fair. In our explorer community we have to trust ourselves and recommend each other and CMDR Straha Yeagar is definitely a person to recommend. This trip took her a while, but the situation was like I described - with no way out.

Some conclusions from my trip:

-Own a ship with at least 60ly jump range otherwise you wont be able to reach the ceiling where there is a network of neutron stars, this naturally would require using many regular fsd injections, so you can keep premium injections for special cases and emergency exits.
-When going below or above the galactic plane always have at least 6 units of Polonium and other materials needed for an emergency premium jump.
-You see a jumponium rich system - stock up on materials.
Don't push too hard. Step off. The star isn't going anywhere. Come back later better prepared.

That's the spirit. Called for help, assess the situation, make the hard decision, learned lessons, no rage-quit.
Repped.
