Anyway, what i'm trying to say that for the very skilled pilots, the game offers little challenges. So they turn to PVP. Or they make movies showing off Hydra kills in a sidewinder.
If FD tailors the game difficulty for the very skilled ones, everyone else will quit the game. 🤷‍♂️
Hang on a minute...
Top level Thargoid stuff: optional.
PvP: optional.
High CZ: optional.
I'd like to see the difficulty on low CZs dropped slightly, difficulty on high CZs ramped up.

Battlecruisers are and have always been a visual adornment.

Their weapons are useless, I can attack the heat relays with impunity and suffer insignificant damage, never coming close to losing shields. They turn tail and run in short order and they never get any support from allied ships when under attack.

This has been discussed before with no changes forthcoming.

People were complaining about CZ being too hard and paying too less.
Yet you can rout Capitals in a sidewinder. But that's not the point? isn't it? The point is winning the CZ
If you are one of those that can rout the CapShips AND win the CZ in a sidewinder, well - the game is not for you. (but i would enjoy a movie detailing that feat)

Welcome to War Thunder, etc...

I'm not here to argue about skilled commanders preferences. That's completely beside the point. If you can reliably dispose of the already existing , rather deadly spec ops squads alone, you could easily route a buffed capital ship too. The speed of cz clearing wouldn't be affected by buffing a cap ship, since most people would probably just SCB tank it head on. But it would actually need effort from the player to destroy. You know, a capital ship.

If one cannot dispose of spec ops, but can route the limp- capital, I'm sorry, but I don't feel like a high cz is made moreso for them, than someone who feels like they're horribly balanced. But that's just my worthless two pennies on the topic of "the game is not for you".

Regarding the sidey thing, my point was that you can easily take out the relays without dying. Winning a cz is a completely different thing, depending on a bunch of rng variables. I'm not even gonna attempt wasting my time on getting a perfect scenario for that. But I'll try and record a routing for you in dms. :)

Gotta agree, it's kind of funny to watch NPC Chieftans sit right next to one taking a lightshow of broadsides while it just sits there and returns fire. If it focuses fire on a ship, that should be a real issue for that ship and they should have to take steps to reposition or be killed. As it stands right now, they really aren't a threat. Their health and method for routing them is fine, but it should be more dangerous to strafe them. You can take more damage from some of the other ships in the CZ than you can from a capital broadside.

The recent CG should be used as an excuse to go back and retroactively "rearm" capital ships.

I think what the sound team at FD need to do is mix in some 'brown noise' with the bzt bzt BWOOOOAAAAR for starters. Can't effectively fight if you are transporting biowaste.
