I am not going on DW2 but I am doing unrelated long-range exploring in the Mount Robson which is a Beluga. Here is my build if it helps at all:

Besides the obvious lightweight and long range FSD mods I did grade 1 armored with stripped down to cool the PP a bit and I did G5 clean drives to cool down the thrusters a fair bit as the Beluga can run hot. This build has been working very well for me in the black.
The Beluga has amazing cockpit views and it handles very well indeed in SC for a large ship. It also looks amazing in screenshots! This is probably going to remain my primary exploration ship going forward.
