Since b2.04 things have been a lot more stable than before. On the other hand, open mode is almost the same as solo. I have seen maybe two or three human commanders in five hours of gameplay. I have not been far out. Around ovid and lhs-3609.

Much improved on those two issues

Now, if I can just figger out why my ship, exiting A.City in the middle of the exit space with nothing coming at me would, in the blink of an eye, be smashing into the station and self-destructing at a cost of 5(+)k credits each time to rebuild the ship from the insurance payout! TWICE! (I'll wait until I have some spare credits before I go back - don't fancy finding myself broke and needing to use a basic SW from scratch again 'cos I couldn't afford the insurance premium!)

Do you see the station suddenly in front of you, or do you hit something invisible?

We had this weird invisible wall outside Zelada Station that we would (most times) crash into if we were flying the Cobra back in Alpha. If you were in a Sidewinder, you were safe from the invisible wall. :)

Make sure you ticket it.

2.05 has improved open play dramatically for me at least the last few hours I have started playing it, a couple of hang ups logging in screen with the forever spinning golden sidewinder, but that's about it, once I get in it seems a lot smoother now. Seems much more stable now. Open play feels a lot closer like it feels to be playing solo now I noticed.

Good work!

Since 2.05 The launcher seems to take way longer to run from starting the game and logging takes a noticeable time too.

Ever since 2.05, all the Bulletin Boards have been empty - anyone else seen this?

The Bulletin Board has been ok for me, it was only the Universal Cartographics I couldn't get access to, kept getting 'could not connect' message.

Might as well list a couple of odd bugs I found earlier while I''m replying in this thread...

I found several 'blank missions' displayed on the Bulletin Board, the only thing displayed was the price for accepting them! These messages had no descriptive advertisements. (although, once the message was opened everything appeared correct inside) All the blank messages were missions for one system, at: 'LFT 992 / Szulkin Mines'

The other bug was in the 'CE Bootis' system at 'Jendrassik Survey' I discovered 1 new astronomical object, and the message kept flashing up every 3-4 seconds, both in SC and normal flight. I spent about five minutes docked at Jendrassil Survey reading the bulletin board and when the lift eventually brought my ship up to the landing pad to launch, the message flashed up about 20 times in quick succession.

No difference to me. It responds quicker when I get the blue message telling to cut out of SC, but it still hangs between jumping from SC to the station and I've suffered random disconnections when I've waited through the transition, resetting me to the edge of the system. The Universal Cartographers was not available and I have to make constant evasive manoeuvres from station security vessels. My hull is 25% due to a bad AI pilot ramming my vessel almost head on.

(Online mode)

Played for 2 hours with no issues, loading times much improved. then game crashed while docking at Wingrove platform, Styx. sent crash report. tried 3 times to re load game and got stuck with spinning ship.

I just got Beta 2.04 on 10/7 and got my feet wet. I played more on 10/8. Both days I just went through the first two tutorial flights.

Today I upgraded to 2.05 and went through the third tutorial at least three if not four times without any problems.

The fourth tutorial is nothing but CTD after another and once the game did a hard lockup and had to hold the power button down to get the PC to shut off. I started the fourth tutorial at least six times, maybe more. Out of all the times I started it I got a CTD all but two times and one of those two times was the hard lockup.

Let the game submit bug reports, but even the last two reports did not complete, I got an error message.

Either 2.05 is not working for me, or something is wrong with the fourth tutorial.

I am through for today and will try a different tutorial tomorrow. If I still get the same problems I am through with 2.05 because it is just not playable for me.

Same here, that station was seriously bugged. Hopefully tickets will provide FD good feedback why.

Played for a few hours a day for the last few days. 2.05 mean't i could play, no problems logging in.

Play open play for a number of hours and stability is good. Every now and again, i'll get the endless warp tunnel and have to end elite using task manager. Happens, everyday 2-3 time a session.

Apart from that, i have to say its very stable and keep up the good work lads...

Yeah that happen to me once I think it's the position you approach the station lucky I didn't exploded but had quite a bit of hull damage, I think they need to increase the distance just slight especially the larger longer orbital stations.

Confirm patch 2.05 I can now jump to any system starting with (W) & not one crash. I'm so happy I made it all the way to the other side of the PILL universe, currently around the system of MISTANA :D

I just remembered one more odity... in supercruise a random message appeared in the comms panel. It was from an NPC but had no name just [] and the message something like "that was a relief". I've had messages from NPCs or stations appear in comms before - sometime after leaving a station and jumping into SC but never without the sender's name.

Look forward to testing this patch out, I want REALLY want to be a good beta tester and assist with server testing but the constant hold ups supercruising/hyperdriving around was unbearable to put any hours in so I've only been playing solo =\

Sounding good so far for a permanent fix.
