I started game, I got into single mission to set up my stupid logitech 3D joystick but I forgot that my system must be forced to see that crap so I had to alt tab and problems started. I cannot alt tab from this game anymore! I had no problems with that earlier! What the heck! I spent about 10 minutes to struggle out of that game! It constantly forced itself on top driving me mad! Ctrl+Alt+Del didn't help neither!
After long session of trying to alt tab and ctrl+alt+del I managed to get back to game and just exit it because otherwise I would be forced to use cold reset!

First impression with beta 3 was frustration :/

Simple thing that worked earlier is now screwed... On top of that I tried to raise ticket but ticket system is screwed too... WHAT THE ...... I cannot use roll out menu to pick category. After I click it it is highlighted and I have no option to chose anything! Just brilliant!

Hmm it seems while the controls menu recognises my primary fire and POV hat left and right off my X55, and the sub menus on either side of the main game HUD recognises each, when looking forward I can neither laterally thrust left or right, nor can I fire my primary weapon...

Fuel scooping works great. Graphics issues on mining. Cant get a screenshot because the asteroid rotates as the screenshot is being taken so comes out blurred. Ticket going in.

Server connection issues

Hi all

Just started playing the beta 3 ......and I keep being disconnected from The server, Anyone else have the same issue?:S
Only managed to fly for about 1 min before being the game saying that "sever not responding" or something to that effect.

Gotta say, it's working perfectly for me at the moment! Finished downloading went straight in to open play, took a mission from Eranin to IBootis, got interdicted, escaped reached Bootis, got paid! All lovely.

Delete your windows firewall rules for Elite, reboot, and recreate them by pointing to the new exe. Worked for me on two machines, hopefully will for you too!

It's no big deal. Same kinda things happened on Beta 2 release night. Weather the storm for a few days. This is only the beginning. The game is going to be in development for the next 2 or 3 years to come, and beyond. What's a few days? Come back Friday and everything will be better. Afterall, a Beta tester's job is grueling. Only the most dedicated players are willing to spend time helping the devs isolate and troubleshoot problems for the better. Right? I think that's how it's supposed to work, anyway. We're the army recruits. They need you too! Tough it out, commander.

First things first, I went to Aulin, purchased my favourite ship. The glorious dog fighter, the viper.
However after doing so I keep getting dc'ed back to main menu. Full restart and tried in solo, open play and private with no success ):
But what I did get to see of it, I'm impressed.
It's insane.
Such good visuals and glad its gone back to the gritty dark look, gives the cockpit a bit more immersion!

Played for an hour or something. I like what I see. Got interdicted 1 time and it was fun. Like the new interface and everything went smooth in solo. A little loading on exiting SC at Aulin. Bought back my Eagle. Killed a couple of ships in Aulin Nav Beacon. Cashed in a mission and some vouchers. Got me a fine for loatering 400 cr. Payed it Just to find out how I can interdict myself now. Great work Frontier. I had some problems joining server so I played some tutorials first. But in the end I could play in solo online. Thx for a great Beta Frontier

Working perfectly for me, albeit alt+tab doesn't work.

Otherwise running smooth as silk, only disconnected once earlier, been about an hour with no problems

Something that worked perfectly fine is screwed now so yeah if they will continue to make things broken that was already working fine it will take way longer to fix them all if by fixing some issues they create problems on stuff that was fine. Testing is testing but I spend 10 minutes on struggling to get my PC back so give me a break!

Could not connect to server

I keep getting dropped as soon as I hit the hanger. My connection is fine with everything else. Is anyone else having this problem or know a solution?

Flawless experience for me (unlike Beta 2!), tremendous job FD, working so nicely straight out of the box.
Played for around an hour without any glitches at all, just some stuttering in supercruise.
Seems like we get dropped closer to the stars on exit of hyperspace?
Lovely looking planets, ice caps and all.
Jazzy new effects when getting interdicted, really like them!
Not enough cash yet to try the other new toys but will get there soon.....

I had the same problem but I had patience to alt tab, alt enter, ctrl+alt+del to finally get into game and exit it. But I thought that I will be forced to make cold reset too :/ Very frustrating.
