Thanks for the update guys. I wasn't having many problems...probably because I was doing a limited amount of things but good to know things will work better if I do try them. One crash and quite a bit of stuttering in SC plus 2-3 disconnects. Not bad in my eye. Getting there for sure !

Mission probs with 3.01
Picked up 2 tons of Hydrogen and 2 tons scrap for missions to Abetti Platform in Ross 1051 - checked the timers, 1 hr something for 1, 35 mins for other. Smooth straight 5 ly jump to Ross 1051, uneventful landing at Abetti Platform - no option to hand in cargo on Bulletin board.

Further - I can't eject or sell cargo on black market as it's mission critical - advised to abandon mission to remove cargo, problem is, I have no missions to abandon.

Same for me. Im in Sidewinder now and cant sell it becouse I cant jetison my cargo. I have no missions available on the transaction screen. Please FIX IT.

Also when lauching from a landing pad my ship always start to fly backwards and i have to stop it first. Anyone else have this...?
 
When the additional support for others ECS and joysticks will be added?
I've bought Gametrix ECS and now find it completely useless as the game doesn't recognize any input from throttle.
 
kudos for the massive list of fixes from beta 2.06, and thanks for the quick response to the first round of fixes for beta 3... you guys n gals r awesome :D

have ticketted a gameplay issue where there are goods listed as export on the system view while also being listed as prohibited in the same system has anyone else come across that problem yet?

i have found that for the most part SC is fairly smooth and flight is fluid around stations and planets, I do get some serious stalling of graphics if I go to try and view the system while in SC but that could just be some issue with the server data transfer causing a holdup on my client while it transfers the system data but I cannot say for certain...

i like the new bulleting board setup where those u can do are shown and those you cannot do are listed seperately...

Is this to fix the ring belt pop-up issues I've been noticing? Flying along and nothing in front of you even though you dropped out at the ring belt only for it to pop into existence right in front of you and almost kill you.

I'm truly amazing at how fast this company puts out patches


but currently I'm having serious issues landing will be making a video and get some insight on what i am doing wrong or if its just a bug
 
I imagine the self resetting Power Priotities and Self Applying Default skin after Supercruise travel are still there as not mentioned in list.
 
Just confirming the poor performance and stuttering and freezes in supercruise exist in solo mode as well but it is localised to certain planets even within the same system. Must be a certain drawing operation being called upon to do with the new planet surface enhancements that isn't used for every planet and obviously it is only one that is called in supercruise for some reason.

Looking forward to a fix for this but also the stuttering and freezes that did not exist for me before Beta 3. These seem to be network related as my FPS seems to stay stable even when stutter or freeze present.

I am also getting some bad stutter at the start of jump sequence which is quite jarring though it is smooth after 2 or 3 seconds.
Devs any notion of when these issues may be resolved as I realise they may not be priority?

Beta 3.01 will be available by 11:00 GMT - the servers will go down before that to implement the update.

You can see the full change log below:

- Protect against infinite loop when generating profiling report from server
- Stop memory error on shutdown causing a crash
- Prevent a null launch pad crashing the game
- Fix crash caused by rings in galaxy map
- Fix server telemetry crash
- Fix crash from broken mission template
- Fix crash from shield bank replication
- Fix for shadow crash on launch pads that aren’t ready
- Fix resource naming for bounty hunter loadout
- Fix crash in icon instance buffers
- Fix for crash when unable to lock vertex buffer for line rendering
- Add debugging to help find missing asteroid chunks
- Fix hardcoded '9000' energy per unit mass which should be '90000', and is causing fuel to run our really quickly
- New time formatter added that shows time as 16h 32min rather than 16:32 - resolves ambiguity in situations where the number doesn't rapidly change
- Added new layers for alpha deferred emissive support – stops some cockpit items sorting incorrectly
- Fixed render sorting issues with emissive materials rendering behind deferred elements
- Alt-tabbing game fixed
- Game starting on wrong monitor fixed
- Mouse not working on multi-monitor fixed
- Ensure we send the ROUTE letter to all the servers we connect to, not just the first – fixes missing NPC’s in session
- Protect against failing to get the launch bay interface when saving
- Fix the ship preview failing to darken when the pause menu is displayed on top of it
- Server now refreshes its mission information when a client connects, meaning that returning to a server before it has forgotten about you will not leave stale data there
- Clamp Wear-and-Tear values to a sensible range

Additional server-side updates have been implemented over the last 24 hours:

- Fixed issue with fines being awarded but unpayable. Newly issued fines should now be payable in any space station allied with the same issuing Major Faction (Alliance, Federation, or Empire)
- Existing unpayable fines will be made payable shortly.
- Allow hardpoints to contain enough ammunition for the point defence turrets
- Number of reliability and performance improvements
- Stopped fines being generated when a reward is given on completing a mission

Is there a problem with the connection between ED servers and Comcast? I had a friend using telus.net in Canada download 3.0 in 20 minutes. Another friend in California on AT&T UVerse downloaded it just as fast. However myself (in Georgia) and a friend in California using Comcast were unable to get downloads faster than 0.2MB/sec so 3.0 took us HOURS to download. Normally we're able to download games from Steam for example at 14MB/sec.
 
That is a lot of fixes. The old developer in me anticipates that this many fixes at once in such a short time since the 3.0 release will have introduced a few more bugs. Top work rate though and I look forward to the weekend, especially since I can go full screen again. :)
 
Fines and more fines.

I had a cargo that disapeared randomly. When i went to drop it off it just diaspeared for few mins. When appeared i could not off load it as due to connection error. I tried it few times and option to off load it disapeared again. Now i could not abandon the mission and when i dropped a cargo i got a hefty fine. This fine system needs to be revised. I barely get paid and i get more fines than anything else. Also game crashes so much its unbelivable. How developer thinks he can release this by end of they year is beyond me this is barely working product. I think stability should be first priority! Random respawn inside the station just to crash into something is also another issue and of course a fine as well. Ship will not launch from station randomly as well. When u restart the game u will be launched at something or somebody and of course a fine again. I have no control over what happens and i get fined for everything.
