No mod can make the story any better, but boy do they change the sandbox around that story. I don't want to miss any of mine, and am looking forward to more stuff.
I'll have a play on mine when I get home later this evening and see if I have the same issue...then have a poke around for solutions if I doBit disappointed nobody's responded with a solution to my problem with pov constantly switching out of first person which is really spoiling the game for me. Is there an in-game control setting (I looked but can't see any) or a related mod? This must have been introduced in the large game update we had a while ago as it did not happen in the earlier version.
I haven't played for a while and hadn't updated for just as long, but have you made sure it's not a mouse issue?Yes, I realised I can use the mouse wheel to change the pov, but when it drops out of first person to third person view I haven't touched the mouse wheel-tested several times. I'd like to disable that mouse wheel pov control within game and just use the keyboard to change it (as it used to be in the early version) just in case, but I can't see an option to do so.
It changes pov all the time, and has happened during combat, and I'm getting absolutely fed up with it. When fighting a terrormorph I don't want to have to move my finger off the weapon trigger to move the pov to see where I'm aiming!
No the mouse is fine. Something has changed with the new game update. I used to be able to toggle pov with keyboard, then change view distance in 3rd person with mouse wheel. Now it's doing it randomly as I'm walking around & I can't see a setting to disable this. Suppose I could delete and reinstall, but seems overkill.I haven't played for a while and hadn't updated for just as long, but have you made sure it's not a mouse issue?
My mouse does that sometimes when the wheel gets worn out.
While I might not have come up with a solution, I did try!Bit disappointed nobody's responded with a solution to my problem with pov constantly switching out of first person which is really spoiling the game for me. Welp, I fired up the game and tried to reproduce your issues to no avail. I normally play with a controller but used m/kb to see if that made a difference, it didn't.No the mouse is fine. If you have to buy creations credits for it then no.What did you think of the bounty hunter mission, was it worth it?
Also what's the "space suit" mod?
Tha's actaully an interesting way of solving staleness. The early game is not good, Bethesda stunted POI generation behind skill levels, so that’s why in the early game it’s not uncommon to find 4x copies of the same POI outposts etc almost bunched together (for biological/geological POI on surfaces
this isn’t an issue and is more logical).
At level 60+ 300 hours in, new planets are really diverse, and I’m frequently coming across POI I haven’t seen before, so the late game is definitely more fun.
I also got free credits (was it 1000?) for getting early access - so if the BH mission gives you a go-to sniper rifle then I think I'll go for it since stealth is my main thing. If you have to buy creations credits for it then no.
The extra bounty hunter mission is quite short and not that exciting imho.
I got some credits for free because I bought the early access thingy which also includes the upcoming dlc.
The suit is free I think, it's a Bethesda made mod, I don't use it though, my own upgraded suit is better.
No mods, used to have with early version but deleted all when I downloaded the update. While I might not have come up with a solution, I did try!
Are there game logs that display keyboard presses/player actions? And if not can logs be configured to check this? That's the next thing I'd try to see what the game thinks you are doing. Not sure if you can get the logs to work in debug mode i.e. produce a lot more information.
Also: Did you mention if you have any mods installed? If so disable all and see if it's still happening.
Just clutching at straws here really but if you can get the logs that would be a good start.
Just downloading the DLC nowAll my mods are still working. No issues at all so far.

Some of the quests set specific followers as mandatory for a time.Going to repeat a simple question I asked ages back that no one seemed able to answer.
Are the companions mandatory? Or can I completely ignore them?
Thank you. Some of the quests set specific followers as mandatory for a time.
