We have been saying this for quite some time. All you need to do is change that 60 to 100. It should not be hard to do. All you need to do is to decide to actually do it. It will take all of 10 minutes for someone to do. If it is anymore complicated than that than truly its your own fault for making storage needlessly complicated. If you cannot do it than that means you have painted yourself into a corner somehow with this system. And we should all throw eggs at you for trapping yourself in such a silly situation.

Or.

If you simply won't. Than that means you are sitting there listening (presumably listening) to all these people asking for this for so long and shrugging your shoulders.

Hopefully you realize this soon. But for now I have to decide which of my highly engineered modules I need to throw away. For now I just got rid of some turreted AX weapons since they are so useless. But I am still going to be sitting at 60 modules and would rather not be forced to go through this shuffle game of modules if you can simply add more slots soon.

Why throw them away? Am in complete agreement about increasing station storage, however no need to ditch anything, buy a ship and store the modules. I use a Anaconda and a bunch of cheap ships to store modules and bulk transport through the shipyard menu.

Only issue is you need a shipyard to have those modules sent to you, not exactly a game breaker though.

Ninja'd :)

I've always been curious, why 60?, why not 100? and before anyone says why not 1000?, because then it becomes silly, for me, 100 would alleviate a lot of shuffling, don't need more.

We still have to stick with lousy 500 data and 1000 material slots. I have lost hope for any form of qol change that has something to do with "more room"...

Last time I was in port I spent about 20 minutes selling crap that's been clogging up my modular storage. I'm still not sure why I had 8 3C Gimbal Cannons G5 Long Range modded with Thermal stored away.. or even where they came from, but whatever. Same with Class 4 Planetary Vehicle hangers, and High Capacity Heat Sink launchers.

No. Because 100 is a solid reasonable number. It's the number kids use to exaggerate. It's the first three digit number. It is the highest form of American currency. 100 is a great number.

Well..

The highest form of American currency still in print.

That's what they said about 128k of RAM, then about 256k, etc etc. A line has to be drawn somewhere, I say it should be drawn at 1 million. Why not? Seriously. You know computers were basically invented for inventory systems originally, and we've become UNBE-FLIPPING-LEIVABLY competent at designing small footprint ones, so why have any limit? Database storage and retrieval is a non-issue, I know this from what rudimentary coding ability I have combined with my decent SQL knowledge (it's part of my job). Put categories, allow sorting based on the primary attributes of that category, and Bob's your mother's brother. There need not be a real limit, provided FD can stump up for a little extra server storage (and it would be comparatively little).

Is that 60 total, or 60 per station? With module transfer, 60 per station sounds about right.

I wonder how many of these limitations have to do with all of this being hosted on our individual PC, rather than on the FD servers. Does anyone know for sure where the bulk of the data a saved?

I can't help you with that, but I can tell you why I have 8 APAs one Prismatic of each size (8A not included) soon 8 Hammers and so on and also some excellently rolled core module at my station: "I'm too old for that !"
Seriously, depending on RNGesus or sticking to a Faction for a whole month?! Of course I am gonna bunker that stuff.

If those core modules are so excellent, then why aren't they installed on a ship?

I had a few core modules stashed away last time I cleaned my storage too - a couple excellent 6D and 8D power plants, a few various-sized FSD's and a couple Distributors.. then I realized, if these were actually any good, I'd be using them, not stashing them. Sold.

Power Play modules I *kind* of get - I did have a stockpile of Packhounds for a while, then I found homes for them. And then I stopped Power Playing.
One of these days I might do it again for some mining lances, which have homes standing by. Might go after some AP's as well, and I know where they'll wind up too, which will leave me with a few homeless PA's with some wild mods that will sit around for a while until I sell them.

Better idea would to drastically reduce the RNG of RNGineers so you don't feel the need to save every half-decent module 'just in case'.
