Pleiades Sector HR-W D1-79 The Penitent is probably closest but is only good as a place to bring ships and refuel etc, outfitting and shipyard are limited.
Ceres Tarn is further away but is 4+ gravities.
Only by shooting ships that are shooting at them, no official way of doing it.
Probaly too caught up in the release for next June.
It's correct I'm afraid, betas are separate from the main game, nothing carries over.
Confirming that Straha Yeagar is correct. Beta is separate and has no bearing on Live. Sorry bud.

Sorry, but it's correct. The beta is completely independent from the live game, including different servers. It started off with a snapshot copy from the live servers taken at an unspecified time before the beta became public and developed independently from there. Traditionally, the last day of the beta is a contest about which ship can make the best explosion
.But don't despair. Maybe find a friendly pilot that shares a (or a couple of) wing missions with you in order to get some money. As far as Colonia goes, you could join the 3C3 and travel there in company (and perhaps get the taste of group exploration and even join DW2?).
Hopefully this is will be a good place to farm the 1000 tharghoid kills for the achievement
Errrmmmm.... BETA. The last time I looked, that was restricted to PCs. Which kind of moots the question whtheran achievment obtained in the beta will carry over to the live game when the beta gets wiped.

What happens in Beta, stays in Beta. Sorry, but this is how it has always been (with the exception of when Elite launched back in 2014, progress was carried over from the beta. Don't expect this to happen again, ever).
Not quite, progress from the gamma was carried over, not beta.

I do hope so, the new stuff is largely crap credit-wise but the new eye candy is appreciated, that novelty will soon wear off though so need a good reason for all the extra work.
