OK, some updates … all sound nice, but some missing changes I'd like to see:-
If not in this latest Beta, please at least for the final release … especially the Discovery Scanner!!!

- Removal of the two HUD modes. (I can only hope its covered by the cockpit changes mentioned.)
- Change to the Discovery Scanner so it works as per the existing normal V3.2 game.
- Mining lasers/blasters/missiles/limpets maybe merged taking up less hardpoints?
If not in this latest Beta, please at least for the final release … especially the Discovery Scanner!!!

We are supposed to be testing things at every level, not just the expensive stuff.
But it isn't just you lots of people think the same way, even me at times but I try to put that to one side as it is just my greed for the big flash toys rather than any desire to test things properly.
Got to feel sorry for that tiny foo-el tho'! that's why I dived in, tweaked stuff and thought -back to the main game. eek to be that guy.

This was not my experience... not sure how you managed it, but i lost all my progress from beta going into gamma.
Gamma progress was always meant to be kept going into live (though there was a bit of a wobble at 1 point where the devs considered a wipe anyway), tho you did have to wipe if you were going for the elite competitions.
maybe the console version was different but that was later - 2015 or 2016 wasnt it?
We kept our progress on xbox when we left the GPP (game preview program). I don't think FDev wanted to pull the pin on a years worth of game progression. So much Salt!

It was state in the mailing list #237, but in today's lunch livestream Ed mentioned this is no longer the case, so we basically don't know
Yes, I did set the date on the blog to the 26th as per the Frontier declaration but it seems this isn't the case? I wonder if they've made some more changes and are going to extend them with some further beta testing?
First rule of FD dates: Keep 'em guessing
If FD say beta updates will be Tuesdays then they will be Wednesdays, if they say the beta will end 26th then it will end 27th. Keeps us from getting complacent.
Apart from for the CMDRs who are working on their characters for when it all transfers back to their main account it doesn't really matter

I've stored all of my beta assets and ships at Hutton Orbital.
They've always transferred over to live as that exists as one location in both beta and live - don't tell anyone though!
