Modes Bonus for doing CGs in Open

There have been numerous posts about Open bonus's over the years, from many now departed players.

Much like Kid has pointed out, the same core anti-change alliance has shouted them down then and will continue with the next batch of new players who ask for such an obvious thing in the future.

What a load of bollox.

I love the changes coming to exploration and mining. I just don't like the rubbish changes you guys are promoting.

Anti-change, is that on the bingo card? Gets wrongly trotted out so much it should be.

Besides, the fellers I have been 'shouting down' are hardly new players, but the exact same lot for years.

Lastly, the 'shouting down' is in stereo.

Go look at the posts in 2016 after they suggested it. Its the same group of people crying wolf. And its the same people that have admittedly over the course of time said they aren't even involved in those specific types of play. But they feel the need to hold the people back that are.

Now, do you really believe that the direction and roadmap of Elite Dangerous is dictated to Frontier, shareholders and all, by 12 people on this forum?

Do you realise how ridiculous that, and in turn you, sounds?

I won't hold my breath for a concession from you that you that it was indeed a silly statement as I know how badly you need your forum boogeymen to pin it on rather than realising the truth, carry on.

FDev have not been "promoting" anything.

Sandro has asked twice about giving people who do PP in open a bonus to their influence.
The first time he threw the idea out, he retracted it a week later on a live stream, the 2nd time is in the Feedback forums with his "Flash Topic" thread.

But as he has also pointed out that open mode has the majority of players, it left the question "Why do they need a bonus then?".

Quite the contrary. And Id implore you to actually look into things besides taking this guys word for it.

If you didnt know this guy has a "wall of information" thats pretty one sided and has been for a while now. He even had to be told to add things to it.

Several years ago Sandro tried multiple times to add bonuses to open play. He and about 12 others bombarded threads including a couple of mods giving out the wrong and OUTDATED information when new people arrived. Just like he did to you.

Basically Frontier has been waiting for the community to catch up. And unlike other forums they were NOT able to get proper feedback by going through them since these guys drowned out anyone new coming here asking about the imbalances.

Dump threads were created called the hotel california in which they lived in. LOOOONG before I got here.

These guys that brigaded these topics are a very large reason Focused Feedback exists to begin with. Ive played a lot of games and been to a lot of forums over the years, even looking for feedback myself during my time with WoW. And I have never seen anything like this.

So after all the brigading and giving out long outdated and wrong information saying these things are impossible and it would never happen.

Some of those guys lost it in the focused feedback section. People calling Fdev Thieves, Birthdays being ruined even some users threatened to sue them.

There was even a Bingo Card created with specific names that brigaded this topic. And PVPers would come in and create a post somewhere on these forums, not just here. And the same people would show up EVERY SINGLE TIME. Everyone won at Fdev Forum bingo. It was ridiculous.

So yes, Fdev has been trying to promote and explain that not only is it possible. But they have been trying to do this for years. They were simply waiting on the community. And when the focused feedback happened. These guys, including the mods that were brigading this topic found out that they were actually the minority and have been for quite sometime. But for the past year or so they have been touting the exact opposite.

Again, about 12 people doing this is one of the major reasons Focused Feedback exists.

Everything is there. All you guys have to go do is look at their posts in Modes of Elite subsection, the Hotel California threads and the Focused feedback threads.

Which brings us to today. They are finally getting the correct feedback thats not brigaded. Even though they tried. Several of them have posted in the Focused feedback many many times.

To be honest its been quite comical.

Its the reason I stayed on the forums. Because apparently you have to show that you have tried to play this game. And they have been waiting on the community to see it. So if they stayed doing those things for as long as they have. Then I did it too. Except I have video, streaming and experience to back my play.

While these guys have outdated posts. And have admitted they dont even get involved in the first place. They are just here to argue on the forums. And its hurt the game.

Im glad you brought this up. Was hoping you did.

I wonder what they were investigating? Not really hard to figure out.

Now im going to tell you something you dont want to hear. And something they arent going to tell you. But anyone in game development anywhere else will.

Over the years they have been trying to let this community down easy. Because this is a big change compared to where it started at. And thats okay.

But everything from Story Boards and future development is already in the pipeline. As a matter of fact. Believe it or not. This whole "Beyond" series was already planned for core mechanics changes.

On reddit, you'll have to give me time to find the post. But it said " We all see what the game could be. It just takes time to get there".

Things like High Grades, Missions and Payouts. Player Groups(which they are currently streamlining), Powerplay and so much more has already been decided. A long long long time ago.

As a matter of fact we should be seeing the next expansion sometime early to mid next year. Its the way all larger games like this work. Especially ones that will continue to have expansions and development for years to come. But they also have to balance the game when it comes to player interaction, not just NPC's.

Again, they were just waiting on the community to catch up. Pretty cool thing they did. And you're not going to make everyone happy. We all know this.

The investigation they were looking at. Were the people that brigadded the topic vs the amount of support that actually came out of it.

Sorry if this is something you dont want to hear. But every bit of it is true.

What bothers me is anyone thats played this game to its fullest extent can see where this game needs to go to continue to grow. Along with the balancing behind it.

Im not afraid to speak up and say something about it.

You should really do some investigating on your own. And look at how games are developed a simple youtube series can help you with that even. All this stuff is not rocket science if you dove deep into the game.

And some people have not. Some of that is because of its wide open options the game started out with. But the game has evolved from where it once was. To now.

Its not very difficult to see what needs balanced when it comes to player interaction. Even Sandro addressed that but you guys chose to ignore it.

So if you guys continue to choose to ignore what they say. Then by all means do so, but you're only setting yourselves up disappointment.

Im just trying to show you what THEY said. Things you guys continue not to listen to.

Keep it up though its funny to watch.
